Zuri
There was, at one point in the last few months, a time when Zuri had this mindset that she would possibly never see her family again, much less the actual sun in the sky. When Justin led her out of Hell for the first time, the light was almost blinding. It almost made her want to go back down under. Crazy, right? Would that fall under Stockholm Syndrome?
It begs the question of what Justin’s motives are. The personality flip, the possessive nature, the fact he knows he’s making her weaker with every little thing he’s done to her.
Yet… he loves her.
She wasn’t prepared for this type of fight and every plan she had had crumpled before she could lay the foundations. And now, she felt like she had already given up. Maybe she had and just didn’t realize it.
