“I hope to never see you again, Mulan. If I do, it will be to kill you.” I smiled at Mulan as I picked up a wrecked Elena.
“And I you, Alpha.” Mulan smiled back as she waved us goodbye. “And Elena, I hope that this news has given you some revelation about yourself. I am glad that we talked, and I got to see that you are a good person. However, when I see you again, I’ll be there to kill you.”
Threats between Mulan and I were exchanged like bread and water. We had a clear understanding of what was to happen. Mulan betrayed and hurt me years ago. She did something unforgivable.
“Kill me, Declan. Kill me now,” Elena begged. I held her in my arms as I carried her through the forest. “I won’t let her live inside me, please get it over with.”
