I did not expect it when Declan turned around and ordered his men to go back. He wasn't a man who quit, but this time he was scared. I was in disbelief. The woman looked back at me, and in her eyes, I saw a sense of familiarity. It was like I knew her, but I just couldn't make sense of where I knew her from.
“Declan!” the woman called out. Declan paused and turned back to us. His eyes were bloodshot red, indicating that his beast had taken over.
