The snow reflecting the sunlight made me squeeze my eyes shut as I climbed down Keelan's car. Unfortunately, my temporary blindness made me lose my footing. Keelan was just in time to catch me before I sprawled on the ground. It was ridiculous, thinking of how I would've slapped Keelan before if he had touched me like this. And yet the stubborn rockstar had wormed his way inside my heart. But the lingering fear and doubt made me step away from him. I felt like I was simultaneously submerged in hot and cold water. On one hand, I couldn't still let go of my hatred. After all, Keelan rejected and abandoned us. I could remember that disastrous phone call and the callous message he left afterward like yesterday. On the other hand, I couldn't pretend any longer that I was blind to his efforts
