Sydney I left his office as quickly as I could, making my way back to the copy room. Double-checking to see if Adam was still around, before I slipped inside and shut the door behind me. I was so stupid. There was absolutely no reason for me to hit Adam like that. I’d let my emotions get the better of me and it couldn’t happen again. Feeling anxious, my hand slipped under my blouse, my switchblades' familiar weight in my hand. Flicking it open and close in time with my breathing, I tried to calm myself down.
