Chapter 7

George's POV I woke up to my alarm clock, just like I did every other morning. As I sat up stretching, something didn’t feel quite right. I could smell the scent of bacon and pancakes floating through my apartment. How could that possibly be? I grabbed my robe and wrapped myself in it. I wasn’t sure what was going on. I rounded the corner from the hallway to the kitchen and I stopped dead in my tracks. Standing in my kitchen, flipping pancakes, was Miranda. She was in a little silk nightie, it was a light blue. Her black hair cascaded around her shoulders and she had on little slippers. My jaw hit the ground. She turned around and her eyes lit up with joy when she saw me. “Good morning handsome! I’m so glad you’re awake, but I wanted to bring you breakfast in bed.” She put on a little pouty face. It was one of the most adorable things I had ever seen! She walked over to me and wrapped me up in a hug. Her slender body was wrapped tightly against mine. I wrapped my arms around her waist, just like I imagined doing every day. “Good morning yourself.” That was all I could muster up. This was so weird. How did she get here? There was no way that I could just ask her that. I didn’t want to scare her off. She looked up at me with her big blue eyes and smiled. “Oh! My pancakes!” She ran over to the stove and quickly flipped her pancakes before they burned. She smiled to herself. “What are you plans for today?” She looked over at me quizzically. I had made my way over to the table to sit down. “Oh, you know, the usual.” I stopped. How could I do my usual, when the one I usually watch is standing in my kitchen making me breakfast? “What about you?” I looked over and smiled at her. “The usual.” She laughed. “House work. I’d like to get all the laundry caught up.” She smiled and put a hand on her hip. She finished making the pancakes and brought me over a plate. She headed towards the refrigerator and poured two glasses of orange juice. She brought over both glasses and set them down on the table before going to get her own plate. She sat back down. We talked like everything was normal and this is how things were supposed to be. It was pleasant. I thanked her for breakfast and headed into the bedroom to get ready for a shower. Much to my surprise, my clothes were set out on the bed for me. I can’t believe what’s going on here. Having Miranda around is so much better than I could have ever imagined! I jumped into the shower and hurried to get myself ready for the day. I really didn’t know what this day had in store for me. There was a knock on the door. Someone was calling my name, but I didn’t recognize the voice. “George? George! Hello?” The knocking got louder. I felt paralyzed. No matter how much I tried to answer them, no sound came out of my mouth. I started to panic. The knocking on the door turned to banging and the person started to turn to screaming. “GEORGE! GEORGE!” I jumped awake, surrounded in a puddle of my own sweat. Was it just a dream? I jumped up from the bed, quickly threw on my robe and ran into the kitchen. There were no pancakes or bacon. There was no Miranda. s**t! It was all a dream. I knew that everything seemed too good to be true. I was brought back from my day dream. The knocking on my door continued. It wasn’t as loud as it was in my dream. “George? Are you home? It’s Leena. Our power shorted out again. I was hoping you could come over and look at the breaker box for us.” I sighed. “I’ll be right there Leena.” I sighed. I stood in the kitchen for a few moments. I was completely flabbergasted. How could a dream seem so vivid and real? I screamed. This was overwhelming. Unless it wasn’t a dream. What if it was supposed to be the future? I knew Miranda and I were meant to be together! I must have screamed louder than I had thought. I hear another knock on the door. “George? Are you alright?” I sighed. This girl was going to be, and always has been, a pain in my ass. “I’m fine Leena, I just stubbed my toe. I’ll be right over.” I sighed. I walked into the bedroom and got myself dressed really quick. I looked at the time and saw that Miranda should have already been at work. I frowned. I really wanted to her to see me save the day. Maybe that would prove that I am good enough for her. That I could take care of her. I sighed again and headed over to Leena and Miranda’s apartment. The door was shut, so I knocked quietly on it. Leena came to the door with a huge smile on her face. I didn’t know what that was all about, so I decided to ignore it. I asked her if I could take a look at their breaker box. She nodded and lead me to it. I knew where it was of course, but it wasn’t my apartment. I smiled at her as she led the way. Once we reached it, Leena had asked if I would be alright by myself for a little bit. I nodded, too involved what was in front of me to care right now. After a while, I had everything figured out and fixed. I walked back over to the kitchen to let Leena know. As I walked past, I saw Miranda’s bedroom door open just a little bit. I couldn’t help my curiosity. I yelled to Leena that I was going to use the restroom. I snuck into Miranda’s room and shut the door lightly. The smell of her room was everything I had ever dreamed of. It smelt like sweet, warm vanilla. I walked around her room and admired every little detail. The pictures on the wall were mostly of her and Leena. I knew they were close. Her closet was full of clothes, most of which I had seen her in. Her bed was a mess, but I would fix that if she were mine. As I rounded her room to the dresser, I noticed that her top drawer was open. I couldn’t help myself. I took a peek in and saw all of her panties. I froze. This was like heaven. I sifted quickly through the drawer and picked out a few pairs that I liked. I made sure to shut the drawer just like it was before. I shoved Miranda’s panties in my pocket and scurried out. Luckily for me, Leena was still occupied in the kitchen with whatever it was she was doing. I yelled to her that everything should be fixed and that if she had anymore issues to let me know. She yelled back something, but I didn’t care to hear what it was. I headed out the door and back into my apartment. I ran over to my bedroom and pulled up the security cameras to the coffee shop. There she was, smiling at the customers. I grabbed her panties out of my pocket and gave them a big whiff. Looking back now, I should have looked for her hamper and grabbed a dirty pair. I frowned and stashed them in my pillow case for later.
