Chapter 2 The Gatecrashing

(Faith's P.O.V.) My eyes were red and swollen. Every part of my body is sore especially my private part. Drake was very harsh to me last night. He was angry, and he made sure to show me that in s*x. I can still see the marks of his forceful mating with me in my wrists. He's ruthless and evil. He didn't even listen to me even when I'm already begging him to stop. He acted like he wasn't hearing me. "There's an event tonight." I glanced at him. He's in front of the mirror fixing himself. I didn't have the energy to glare him, so I just stared. He's fixing his collar and sleeves. His hair is combed to a slick back. He looks so handsome in his formal attire. He doesn't look like the man who forced himself to women. "I'm sure you heard about my marriage with Stella.” He smiled proudly. “Your anger last night tells everything." He chuckled like as if he's reminiscing the memory of me crying and screaming under him. The corner of my eyes started to heat up. When will he stop this? He's already found his mate. Why does he have to ruin my life to bits? "Listen to me carefully..." His voice became serious. Drake turned to look at me. "I don't want to see you there. You're going to stay in this room until I come back. Do you understand?" he ordered. I stared at him. He clenched his jaw and started locking all the windows in the room. "I know you. You do things that I tell you not to do.” I gave him a blank stare. “But you should know by now that a harsh punishment is waiting for you once you disobey me." I didn't answer. "I will kill you if you leave this room." That's when I finally lifted my head to look at him. Our eyes met. I could feel the shakiness of my inside as I let him slice deep into my soul with his dangerous stare. His eyes never fail to scare me. It’s one the things that made me obey him because I was scared that he would punish me. But what’s left to fear when I’m already dead. Hasn't he killed me yet? I could be breathing right now, but I'm already dead inside. He already killed me a long time ago. Drake clicked his tongue after receiving nothing, but my crazy smile. He grabs his keys from the desk and exited the room. My smile wiped off when I heard the clanking of the metals and the door locking from the other side. My fists turned into a rock. He's treating me like a prisoner again. A prisoner that he f***s and leaves whenever he likes. I waited for his steps to walk away before finally looking at the object I've been eyeing since last night. I crawled weakly to the expensive trinket that fell from his suit. It’s made from pure diamond and has the sacred symbol of the Alpha engraved to it. This would be enough to let me pass through the party. "There's no way I'm staying here like an obedient dog..." I picked up all my clothes and wore them again. They're a little ruined, but it would do just fine. Why the cute outfit when my intention is to embarrass the Alpha in front of his mate? The door was locked tight just like what I was expecting. But if I managed to escape last night, then that means I can do it again. I searched for the small hairpin I buried under my hair. I picked the lock. My face curved into a smirk when I heard the sound click. I turned the knob and opened the door. I carefully peaked from right to left and sighed in relief when I didn't find anyone guarding the door. Even Morgan is not here. I guess they're all busy for the big event. Wait till the special guest arrives... I was about to run downstairs when I saw a bunch of maids working busily on the living room. They're Omegas like me and are loyal to Alpha Drake. I'm sure that they'll rat me out once they see me. I turned around and entered the library room. There's a big window here that has access to the roof. I'll leave from there. I climbed out of the window. My bare feet are freezing, but I didn't care. The wind is strong and it's blowing my long straight hair. I balanced myself on the roof, and watched the view of the Nightstar Pack Territory from above. I can already see the party from here. Hmm... Having fun already without me? I climbed down from the roof and hide on the shadows as I make my way to the party. Too bad that Alpha Drake didn't invite me. But who said I needed his invitation when I can invite myself? "Stop..." I paused when the guard blocked me with his muscular arm. I looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Please, show your invitation." I scoffed. "You don't know me?" I asked sarcastically. He looked at me confused. I sighed arrogantly and waved the trinket on his face. "This is the Alpha's trinket. You know why I have this?" I gave him an arrogant stare. "Because I am his lover. Now, let me pass if you don't want him to feed you to the rogues." I glared at him. His face shows confusion, but it disappears right away when he sees the trinket that I'm holding. Only Alpha Drake has this. It's a personal item that he treasures the most. I didn't wait for him to react and just entered the place. He didn't stop me anyways. I was greeted by a waiter who served me champagne. "Thanks..." I smiled diabolically. My eyes are looking for one specific person and that is... "Faith?" I turned to look at the man who spoke behind me. My lips curved into a smirk when I saw the worried Drake and beside him is the person I'm looking for. She stared at me from head to toe. I smirked when Drake when he gave me a warning look. I pretended not to see him just like how he pretended not to hear me last night. I focused my eyes on the woman standing beside him. "Hi, Stella. I'm Drake's lover,” I said confidently. Her porcelain face wrinkled. I gave her a big smile. I was about to walk closer to her and share juicier news when my foot accidentally stepped on her long metallic gown. I slumped on the floor. Everyone gasped. *** (Stella's P.O.V.) I stared at the woman on the floor. She's wearing torn clothes and is barefooted. How did she manage to enter such a fine event? I looked at the seam of my gown that she stained with her filthy feet. It’s not fancy to fight with a lowlife like her. I released a controlled sigh. She claims to be my mate's lover. Not that I think that Alpha Drake would really stoop that low to date a woman like her, but the anxious expression on his face tells otherwise. I run my eyes to the woman's body. There are bruises and... ...hickeys. Did he give her these? I looked around when I started hearing the gossiping of the guests. I couldn’t help it, but feel embarrassed. They’re saying that the Alpha would rather have an Omega than me. As much as I want to teach this disgusting woman a lesson, I don’t want to disappoint my mother. Drake wouldn’t want to have a heartless witch as a mate. I have to be the good guy here. “Are you okay?” I asked worriedly to the woman. She looked at me with obvious doubt. It seemed like she was checking if I’m faking my concern for her. Well, of course, it’s fake. I pretentiously gave my hand to her. But just when she was about to grab it, I quickly withdrew my hand and acted hurt. “Aw!” I complained and held my hand. It was enough to put anger on my mate’s face. "Stay away from her!" Alpha Drake yelled and pushed her back to the ground. I secretly smirked. She got what she deserved. "Morgan?!" His beta came running and arrested the dirty woman on the floor. I looked at her. She gave me a sarcastic smile. “b***h…”
