Jane’s face was slightly swollen, and Director Artus suggested that she rest after the night’s performance.
After thanking Director Artus, Jane accompanied Hannah back to the hotel.
On the way, they ran into Gabriella, whose face was even more swollen than Jane’s.
“Wait for me,” Gabriella said roughly.
Jane didn’t respond, but Perry handed her a bottle of spray and advised her to get some antibiotics when they returned to the hotel.
“Thank you,” Jane said, nodding her head.
Hannah observed Perry leave and asked Jane, “He doesn’t like you, does he?”
Jane chuckled, “You have a vivid imagination. He’s just a friend.”
Hannah agreed, but she knew that Jane had no interest in Perry when Damien was around.
