CHAPTER9

699 Words

Jane resides in a secluded location, and she has taken up residence in a small dwelling that consists of one bedroom and one living room. The edifice was constructed in the early days and does not have an elevator, but the rent is economical. Despite the dilapidated exterior, Jane has made the interior cozy and welcoming with warm wallpaper and uncomplicated yet practical furniture. As soon as she entered the abode, Jane tossed Baolian and the marriage certificate on the couch and headed straight to the bathroom. While she was staying at the hotel, she didn’t have enough time to take a thorough shower, and she always felt unclean and uneasy. She shed her garments, stood under the shower, shut her eyes, and scrubbed her body repeatedly with her hands soaked in shower gel.
