Lance who is watching all of the spectacle from afar only smiled. He could also now confirm that the attack on princess Alicia in the previous life and set her up with Clyde is the crown prince. Just from the lights shown on the crown prince’s eye when he looked at Clyde as if he is starting to write a scheme is very obvious.

He is also now taking a closer look at Elmer. Although Clyde hasn’t realized it yet, Elmer is the head guard for the royal family that sometimes even guarding the king personally when he is going out from the castle. Lance is still hesitating whether to control the king and the queen or not.

When the situation inside the castle seemed to have been resolved, a guard suddenly runs inside the hall with haste. Elmer as the head guard stopped him and asked him to calm down speak clearly.

“Calm down first and take a deep breath before making a report.”

“Huff huff… Ha… The princess is attacked when visiting the church.”

“What?”

The one who shows the most reaction is the queen, followed by the king who showed a complicated expression. As for the crown prince, his face is completely blank as if he is calculating something.

“Then what are you doing here? Quickly lead some men there. No, I will personally go.”

Hearing the report, the queen letting out a big relieved sigh and the king smiled bitterly. As for the crown prince, he is now looking at Clyde closely. Only Clyde who hasn’t meet with the princess who’s feeling at lost on what to do since he is completely unrelated to all of this.

Clyde feels that he is out of place so he whispered quietly to Elmer. “Sir, may I go back first? I think it is inappropriate for me to be here.”

Elmer was about to agree to Clyde's request but how could the crown prince who is watching him closely missed this.

“Since my sister is on the way here, how about our future hero Clyde stay for a bit and get acquaintance with her?”

“Ah, it would be my honor.”

Since it was the request of the crown prince, there’s nothing much that Clyde can do as refusing it would be taken as insulting the royalty.

They didn’t need to wait for long before princess Alicia entered the hall. This is also the first time for Clyde to see the princess. The beautiful and graceful princess immediately entered Clyde’s field of view and it was as if his heart stopped beating for a second.

If Clyde says he has completely zero interest in the princess, he would be lying. In fact, in the previous life, princess Alicia’s affection wasn’t one-sided at all. Clyde also liked her back but he chooses to play dumb to it. After all, he has a bigger responsibility of world peace on his shoulder. Princess Alicia entered the hall and gives a courteous bow towards the people on the throne before looking at Elmer and gives him a bow too. She finally noticed Clyde who is standing beside Elmer and once again she gives him a bow with a smile.

Looking at her smile, Clyde is already smitten with her. Seeing Clyde who becomes flustered, Elmer, the king and queen smiled at it. Only the crown prince has a different smile on his face but nobody noticed.

“Alicia, the guards said that you have been attacked, what exactly happened? Can you tell us?”

Alicia then recounted all of the events that are happening in the church. How the two men come to threaten her and suddenly someone saved her. Only the Queen is overreacting when the princess is recounting the experience she just faced.

Hearing that someone come to save her, the people inside the hall is relieved. Also, they seemed to be able to deduce something from the look on the princess’s face when she told them about her savior. That look is of a maiden in love. She kept that look on her face until she finished recounting her story.

“So, did you manage to ask the name of your savior? No matter what, we need to reward someone who has saved a member of the royalty or the people will say that we have no conscience.”

Of course, it was the crown prince that is asking the question to the princess, nobody realized but he has a malicious plan inside his brain when he asked that question. Only Lance who is still monitoring the situation inside the castle’s hall through the eyes of a spider that’s hanging on the ceiling aware of the crown prince’s scheme.
