  Jacob   I watched as my ex-girlfriend secretly downed one shot after another, oblivious to Samuel's absence. She hadn't realized that she didn't need to worry about him, since Samuel and Clara had left nearly forty-five minutes ago, leaving me in charge of the kids who were not-so kids in reality. But she didn't notice. Of course, how could she? She was too engrossed with her boy-toy and friends to even glance at anyone. Especially me.
