powerless witches

"Awoooooooo!" one of the werewolves after us howled. Shivers went down my spine after each howled. My hair stood on edge because they sounded really close. " Ari, we need to go."My sister said in a whisper. " Can you stand up?" She asked again as I brushed off the dirt from my hands and attempted to get up. "Ouch." I yelped from the sharp pain that came from my my upper arm as I supported myself using my hand so that I could stand up. "What's wrong?" My sister asked anxiously "it's my arm, I think it's broken." "awoooooooooooooo!" (more howling) " Don't worry about it, I'll get treated home. let's get out of here." I said all at once. I could feel my heart hammering in my chest. It was so loud that it made my ears ring. " Are you sure? let's stabilize your arm first so that it does not hurt when you move." My sister know she meant well, but then again... " No, sis, I'm fine. We should go. They are getting closer. At least let's find a place to hide." After saying this, we started running again. My arm was getting worse with every tree branch I bumped into, so I should have listened to my sister. "AWOOOO!" They were drawing closer and closer. I stopped caring about my arm as I increased my speed so much that I no longer cared if I bumped into anything or the various plants that were hitting my face as I blindly ran in the woods.I just hoped that they were not poisonous. I ran. I ran and ran because I was scared, I was really terrified. I kept on playing various scenes of what they could potentially do to me. I could see myself being tortured, burnt on a stake, stripped of all my dignity, and being subject to all ruthless comments. My imagination was running wild, and the fear was adding to it. Don't get me wrong, when I was a child, I used to think that werewolves in wolf form were the prettiest of creatures I've ever see, but now, I have nothing but fear for them. I have seen my fellow witches being skinned alive by them, and as much as I'll never forgive them, I can not go for revenge because I fear them. I just want to live a life far away from them, somewhere they don't know me and will not subject me to harm. (pant, pant, pant) The spell my sister cast on me to boost my energy was wearing off, it was the only spell she could perform without her wand. (pant, pant, pant) I looked back and saw that my sister was tired and yes, we did not stop though the spell was wearing off, our fear was more than enough to keep us going. " Ari, watch out !" My sister screamed which and I instantly looked to the direction she was pointing at, I wish I didn't. I saw a wolf with black fur snarling at us bearing it's big teeth at us. we both stopped because the wolf was blocking our route. My fear stricken eyes tracked every move the wolf made, I knew that I couldn't keep my eyes of it for one second because it might attack while I was not looking. It did not make a move, so we all stood there, one werewolf vs. two powerless witches.
