Ashley turned off the percolator and grabbed a coffee mug from the shelf. She prayed that Ashton already left for work but, from the sounds coming from his room, he was still there. She wanted to avoid any confrontation about what happened last night.
She sighed. There was no way she could simply brush this off. She initiated it! She went a little too far this time and she wasn't sure how they could just sweep this under the rug.
Ashley heard his door open and she immediately poured coffee in her cup determined to avoid staying longer than necessary. She was about to take her mug and bolt towards the safety of her bedroom when his husky voice made her freeze.
"Good morning." He mumbled, rubbing his eyes. He looked like he just woke up with nary a care in the world.
