    MATTHEW turned off of Central Avenue to an off-ramp that led off the main road to the nature trails and walkways beneath the bridge.     Central Avenue, also known Historical Route 66, went over the Rio Grande to lead to the Westside of Albuquerque. And just like all the other bridges that crossed the Rio Grande in Albuquerque, at certain intervals, there are places to drive down to the trails below and near the river. These areas were known as the Bosque, and there were many nature trails winding around through these areas, picnic spots, and places to actually sit near the river.     Mathew parked the Jeep Rubicon in the small parking lot near the trail entrance.
