I'm Sen, one day I met a very scoundrel.
Her name is Livia, her name is beautiful but her personality is so very bad. She started applying medicine to the wound on my hand without my permission and asked me a lot of unrelated things.
"Did that guy hit you just now?"
I replied, “No.”
“So the people in this motel block beat you?”
I continued to say, “No.”
Livia frowned, showing an expression of disbelief, and continued to ask, "Do you live here?"
I don't quite understand, but choose to lie: "Yes."
"Liar, you're not someone who can live here." Livia casually exposed my lie, she continued: "Can you tell me why you are here, maybe I can help you?"
She thinks she's tricking children, why should I tell her the truth, I wouldn't even accept help from someone I've never met. I looked at the purple bump on my right hand, to my surprise it was much less swollen.
Then, seeing that she was about to apply for medicine on me, I quickly pressed her hand and said, "You're bothering me."
“Come on, I was just apologizing for pushing you down.” With that, Livia pulled down the towel on my body, revealing rather serious bruises. Those were the bruises caused by the others, but more importantly, there was a very ugly scar on the side of my waist.
And I don't want anyone to see it.
“What the hell are you doing?! You bastards!” I almost lost control of scolding her, finally calmed down, knowing that even if I hit I can't win either, I would say every word: "Leave me alone and go away."
Livia not only disobeyed but threatened back at me: “This scar is ugly, you probably don't want anyone to know about it. So if you don't want me to tell anyone, you'll have to keep this meeting a secret as well."
"Go away," I said.
After Sivia and Kane left, I stayed in the bathroom adjusting my emotions. Threaten me? How could I believe such a weightless statement, the threat basically didn't work on me.
But I had no reason to tell anyone that I met those two, so I hid Sana. I don't think I'm currently being suspected by others that I have bad intentions.
Now the person standing in front of me asks me if I have any relationship with those two, I say I don't know, but will he believe it? Definitely not, so he said,
"Whatever, get the hell out of here."
I was finally kicked out, just waiting for that, I didn't think about it anymore and went right out the gate. Although I did not know the way and it was already dark, there was nothing to worry about, I could still ask the shopkeeper about the way.
The roads here are so deserted, I don't see a single car going into town. About six o'clock in the evening, when I returned to town, the streets were crowded with noisy traffic, this familiarity gave me some peace of mind.
Only then did I breathe a sigh of relief, I have been very tired for two days now, I need to go home immediately. For me, the house is an impregnable protective box, I can only relax in it.
As for why I can't be comfortable outside, I think it's because of habit, it's hard to change.
I just walked and asked for directions and also saw familiar scenes, it was just that I was too tired so I stopped to rest for a while. Everyone was coming home from work, the street seemed busier than usual, but no one noticed me.
Everyone is so busy that I don't understand why there are still people who are so free to harm others, is it fun to make me a victim?
It's too confusing, I don't think I can understand what bad people think in this life.
“Hey, what are you doing here?”
Someone tapped me on the shoulder to ask what I was doing here, I turned around and saw her wearing a waitress uniform, so I thought she was working in the restaurant where I was sitting...
"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to sit here."
That cute employee said: "Oh, I don't mean that I just want to remind you to go home, it's dangerous to wander alone."
I nodded, said, "I'm just resting for a bit, I'll go home now." Then I was about to get up and leave when she called me back.
“Would you like a cup of coffee?”
I shyly smiled at her, "I don't have any money right now, maybe I'll stop by some other time."
“Is your house far from here? Otherwise, you can pay later tomorrow.”
She had an attitude of insisting on keeping me, I thought she was inviting guests, but unfortunately not now. I politely declined her, "I think it's not convenient because I have to travel two kilometers to get home, thanks for the suggestion."
"What grade are you in?" She asked again.
I was starting to get annoyed, she shouldn't have asked for personal information from strangers like that. Even so, it was polite to reply: "I'm in middle school."
Actually, I lied, I'm going to university now.
The staff member enthusiastically said: “Coincidentally, I also have a younger brother in the same school as her. So can I offer you a cup of milk tea?"
What a coincidence, the whole town has only one high school, the same school is correct. Each crime found her too enthusiastic, there was no way so I agreed.
I went into the store and chose the quietest corner, watching her work. I then received a cup of milk tea, accompanied by a piece of paper.
I thought this piece of paper was given by mistake, so I waited for her to finish her work and return it back, so she said it was sent to me. I was lost in my baseless speculations, maybe someone I know asked her to give it to me.
But all is not like I thought, the staff member is trying to remind me that someone is following me. After reading the contents of the paper, I did not rush to look outside, but on the contrary, I stared at the table.
I need time to calm down.
It wasn't until my hands and feet weren't shaking that I was able to tear the paper to pieces. The scraps of paper I left on the table, arranged them neatly, and began to count. I need to do something to waste time.
The time when I should be depressed has also come, I make things on the table, pretending to watch the flow of people outside. I dare not roll my eyes too much, can only slowly consider who is the most suspicious.
Suddenly someone entered the store, the jingle doorbell rang, making me lose focus, even a little startled. My mind was highly alert, gradually returning to normal.
That's when I realized I was sleepy. Because I slept too little yesterday, plus so many things happened, I need to sleep now.
I wanted to get up and go home, but I was afraid that someone would wait outside, so I tried to sit in the restaurant. In the end, I still couldn't resist the lure of sleep and fell asleep there.
“It's closing time, you sir.”
The staff member earlier called me up, reminding me that it was time to go home. I looked around dreamily, saw that the shop was empty, so no one was following me.
I thanked her and left, it was late at night making me a little cold. Around the lights alternately flashing, the whole street is empty but still very lively, I also see a few couples walking together.
This town is small but really busy, the crowds often gather in an area like a bar or an event place, it often makes people attracted and want to join it immediately.
And I was no exception.
On a stretch of the road, there was an advertisement that there was an art exhibition by a famous artist here, I found it quite attractive so I went inside. Perhaps because it was late, there were not many visitors, the tour guide also stopped speaking and accompanied the visitors to enjoy the art.
To be honest, I really like to blend in with people, where no one knows me and they don't pay attention to other people, so I can comfortably enjoy the beauty here.
I've been to a museum before, so I know how not to get bored. However, I'm not in the mood to enjoy it right now, because I just remembered that my house lights have been on since the day before yesterday.
I quietly left the exhibition, extremely hastily going home.
Once again I felt someone following me, goosebumps all over me, I quickly ran to the place I was quite scared.
I finally saw the police station.
I passed this place countless times and it didn't leave an impression, but somehow when I saw it, I immediately remembered the time I helped Sana. I thought so and ran straight into it, my frantic appearance was a bit funny, like being chased by a ghost.
"What is going on?" A policewoman asked.
I wasn't sure if anyone was chasing me, I couldn't denounce them, so I randomly found a reason to talk about why I'm here.
“Someone said I could come here to wait for them.”
There's actually another reason why I don't dare to ask the police for help. The last time when I was with Sana I asked the police to take me home, but in the end, they thought I had a mental problem and yelled at me.
That left a pretty deep impression on me.
It would be bad if I got scolded again for assuming someone was following me. Life is so ironic, I can't ask the police for help when I'm not harmed.
Suddenly I miss my parents so much, they love and take good care of me, never once beat me. But just a few days ago I was beaten up by thugs to the point of leaving me injured...
If only my parents were here with me, it would be fine.
At a dark time like this, I need my parents to be with me so they can comfort me, even though if they were really here I wouldn't dare tell them the truth.
Because I'm afraid they'll worry.
I took a deep breath and started looking out into the street. It's very dark outside, a few glimmers of street lights can't make me feel safe at all, the chances of me being in danger are very high.
