I'm Sen, one day I saw Lilith off at the airport.
Lilith said she was homesick, so my family let her go home for a while. At first, I thought she would go home completely but she didn't, in a week she will be back.
It's not a big parting so I didn't want to see her off, just because my mother did say I had to go see Lilith off.
I've never been to the airport, so I'm a bit interested, but the sight of so many people passing by makes me disgusted. As soon as I got to the airport, I saw a few men in suits waiting for Lilith, when they saw her coming out, they immediately carried her luggage.
I knew Lilith was a lady, but I never expected her bodyguards to come here to pick her up.
Lilith took off the black mask, said a few words to the bodyguard, and then continued to talk to my parents. They were so rambling, I stood to one side dejectedly, hoping to get home soon.
I yawned, inadvertently making eye contact with Lilith, in that instant I felt like leaving, but in the end, I stayed where I was and waited for my parents to say goodbye to Lilith. Then I thought I should say goodbye to her too, but I've never done such a thing, so of course, I won't do it now.
I behaved as usual, glancing sideways at the airport. Honestly, I was a bit expecting the scene here to be as airy as in the movies, but I was disappointed, it was too crowded here.
In the crowd, I saw a girl walking towards me again. At first, I thought I was wrong, but when she stood in front of me, I realized that she was really looking for me.
"Hello, long time no see." The girl put down her glasses and said to me with a smile, her whole body exuding a familiar aura.
I was confused as to how to respond, so I looked to the other side, where my parents were still busy talking to Lilith, then I said, "Excuse me, do you know my parents?"
The girl dressed in very noble clothes the difference from the people around her, her makeup was also quite bold and I didn't know my family knew someone like that.
Now, the girl's beautiful face wrinkled, as if incredulously saying: "Kane saying you don't remember us turns out to be true."
It wasn't until the girl had completely removed her sunglasses that I realized it was Livia, but I don't remember when I saw Kane again. I didn't know what she was doing here, and she even started talking to me for no reason, so I ignored her and went back to where my parents were standing.
It's a bit impolite, but not talking to strangers is the right choice, my mother told me when I was young.
Livia pulled my hand and I stopped, she said: "Wait a minute, it's been difficult to see each other again, why don't we talk for a bit?"
Livia and I have nothing to discuss, if there is, it shouldn't be said here, I don't want my parents to know that I've been to the slums for two days and neglected my house. The last time my house was destroyed, my parents didn't investigate, this time I don't want to reveal the past anymore.
“I have nothing to say, pervert.”
Livia tripped, “Oh my, you still think I'm a p*****t even though I helped you?”
I definitely said, "I don't need your help, it's because of you that I'm like this!"
Livia ignored it and continued saying: “Do you think I'm right? You can't interact with the people there."
This is like a wound in my heart, it reminds me that I can't be friends with Sana, so I got angry and scolded Livia: “Don't meddle in my business and don't try to appear in front of me again!”
I don't know since when I've been teasing Livia, it's annoying that she keeps following me like that, moreover, she keeps a secret of me so I find her even more annoying than Lilith.
“How can you see Kane but see me you chase me away? Did you hate me?" Livia pretended to be heartbroken.
I rolled my eyes and coldly said, “I don't hate only you. I hate both of you and Kane. You are annoying.”
Livia narrowed her eyes at me, then said something that made my previous expressions look silly. Oh, I'm such an i***t.
"Didn't you realize Ken was Kane?"
"Okay, then say whatever you want to say." I chose to compromise with Livia in order to make her disappear. It's really embarrassing when people know I'm not good at remembering people's faces.
At this point, Livia laughed indecently, patting me on the shoulder.
“Actually, I have nothing to say. I'm busy with work, I just wanted to come over and say hello." After saying that, without waiting for my response, Livia turned and walked away.
In my heart, I thought she really had a mental problem.
"Let's go home." My father's voice came from behind.
I breathed a sigh of relief knowing that I could finally go home. Go stay in the room with four walls around.
When I returned to the normal life I always wanted, I never contacted Sana again. At the same time, I also discovered that I did not have any other abnormality in my body for a long time. The navigation devices seemed to have disappeared from this world.
My dad said maybe the stalker got scared and stopped all action. But he said he would definitely find the person so that I could feel at ease.
I'd love to think so too, but what happened proved otherwise. As soon as Lilith left, everything returned to normal. Once again Lilith acted like she was my stalker.
Making friends with Lilith is simple, but getting to know her is not easy at all. She's my cousin after all, so there's no such thing as bad intentions.
One fine day Lilith suddenly appeared. I realized that time flies so fast, and I'm wasting it.
Around the time Lilith came home my life was so peaceful that I don't even remember what I went through. Maybe every day I do the same thing over and over again, so I'm not impressed.
Eat, study, sleep. Everything repeated, I started to lose interest in my life.
But I noticed Lilith again, since returning she has been acting strangely. Oh, it must be said that she has changed her personality, as gentle as her appearance.
I feel unaccustomed to Lilith being so gentle.
She must be naughty, loves to prank others, and hangs out with her friends whenever she can. On top of that, she couldn't do housework.
“Lilith, you can go rest. Let me take care of the rest.” Seeing how strange Lilith was doing housework all day. I advised her to stop, then she should go do what she wants like before.
I'm afraid Lilith was hurt because my parents burned her notebook. She changed so quickly, I couldn't adapt to the fact that I was free all day. It's like Lilith is intentionally stealing all my work.
Even though I have more time to myself, the thought that I'm stealing Lilith's time keeps swirling around in my head. I don't like that. After that I talked to Lilith, she still didn't pay attention to me but still answered all my questions.
"You shouldn't stay responsible for all the things you've done." Suddenly Lilith let go of the broom in her hand, causing it to fall. Raised her head and spoke to me.
I didn't dodge but looked her straight in the eye. Lilith slowly walked over to the sofa and sat down, silently as if she was waiting for me. Seeing that, I picked up the broom to put it back in place, then sat down to listen to her talk.
I affirm: “I did not do anything to be held accountable.”
“You have no childhood memories, do you?” Lilith didn't rush to explain but first, she asked me a question.
"That's right, I don't remember." This is extremely normal, people often can't remember what happened when they were kids. And if I can remember, those are just fragmented memories.
That's what I always thought until Lilith explained to me it wasn't quite right. When people are four years old, their brains begin to store what they see and hear around them, which will last forever until they get old and develop dementia.
If they suddenly forget the past, something must have happened to shock them, then the body reacts by forgetting.
I furrowed my brows thoughtfully, not guessing Lilith's intention in telling me these things.
“So what does it have to do with what I did?”
"Of course it's related," said Lilith. "In the past, you did a lot of unacceptable things and left the consequences until now, but you denied those things by forgetting.”
"You're not kidding me, are you?" I know I can't have a normal conversation with Lilith. She is so strange and very mysterious.
“I didn't see you when I was a kid, so you can't tell what I did. Furthermore, what kind of disaster could an ordinary child like me cause?”
Lilith gave me a mocking smile and said softly, “You may be a normal person now, but you weren't before. Listen well, you were once a special child and chose to be a normal person, so you are a completely normal person now.”
I rubbed my temples to relieve the headache, trying to make sense of what Lilith said.
"So I'm a normal person now?"
If that's true, that great. Because as a normal person, I won't need to worry about social integration anymore.
“That's right,” Lilith poured water on the table to my surprise, then wiped them clean again.
“Did you see what I just did?” After all, she asked me such a silly question.
I was tired of having to talk to her at length like that, so I quickly replied so she could continue.
“You just poured water on the table.”
"I didn't and you looked wrong."
I grimaced and I'm sure my eyesight is fine, there's no way I'm wrong. This is clearly Lilith making fun of me.
So I'm going back to the days of having to stay away from Lilith.
She was too difficult to understand, and a simple person like me refused to accept the mystical things she wanted to convey.
I guess I wasted no time on Lilith's joke.
