Chapter 7: Failed Escape

658 Words
(Saline POV) I was ready and a bit confident about my plan. I never ever accepted defeat in anything in my life and this was the matter of my freedom. Everybody has the right to live his or her life according to her/his own will but for any sick motive, They want to snatch that right from me but I will never let that happen.  I sat on the floor as the old maid guided me and started waiting for their next order. ‘I can do this' I started chanting these words in my mind as then I heard footsteps coming towards me. I become attentive because I can only get a little chance and I have to avail it fully.  “I think, You are ready, right?” Valine asked me and I nodded without uttering a single word because who knew when this evil started creating another drama. “Good, follow me and keep one thing in your mind that don’t try to do anything funny otherwise, I will unleash hell upon you,” She said in an arrogant tone, I rolled my eyes in my head and nodded like an obedient child. She started walking and I started following her. Her daughter Rania waved her hand towards me when I was about to step inside the carriage and I became alert.  How can this evil sick girl be so happy? She surely planned something evil for me already.  “I will never let you win this game, girl!” I stepped inside it and started waiting for them to start the carriage. Valine and Rania both were not with me but an old lady, Who used to provide me food and an old man was sitting there with me. That old man looked like a chef or something like that and I am sure, They both couldn’t get me if I tried to run away in the middle of the road. “Ahhh!!! I am feeling like I have to use the washroom urgently,” I said in a loud voice and they started looking towards me with worried expressions on their faces. “Please, Stop it. I can’t hold it any more,” I again cried and they looked towards each other before looking towards me. “B-but, We can’t stop it in the middle of the road,” The old woman said and I looked towards her with a pained expression on my face. “Please! Have mercy. I really can’t hold it anymore,” I said in a pleading voice and finally they agreed to let me go to the washroom. “We are not allowed to do this but we are doing this to help you. Don’t try to do anything which can bring more difficulties for you,” The old woman said and I nodded before going towards a bunch of bushes. I waited there for a minute or so and then started to run as fast as my weak legs could. I have no idea where I was going but I ran like my life depended on it. I entered in a busy street where different vendors were selling things. I started to look for a suitable place where I could hide for the time being and then go out easily. I looked towards all the places but the street was very crowded and I couldn’t hide in the presence of so many people. After looking for about fifteen minutes, I finally found an empty house. I entered in it with great care so, No one could notice me. The house was abandoned and full of dust and dirt. I opened the door of a small room and entered in it. I sat on the floor and started praying to the good that they couldn’t find me but it seems like luck was not on my side. I heard several footsteps and my breath hitched in my throat.
