Rosalie's POV
I stand infront my bed and stare at the outfit Gigi lay out for me. The spaghetti strap crop top and skin fitting jeans looked back at me as I twisted my hands infront of me.
"Where are your boots Rose?!" Gigi calls from my walk in closet behind me and I suppress a groan when I turn to see her dangling a pair of commando boots by the laces. Gigi makes a face when I point to said boots in her hand before turning and walking back into the closet area.
"If you think my dad will let me leave the house in this get up, you got another thing coming to you" I pick up the top by the strap and turn it over. A gasp escapes me when I realize the back of the top was completely open. Gigi emerges triumphant from the closet holding up a pair of low cut leather boots and walks over to the bed to place them on the floor.
"Relax, I convinced my brothers to go with us. Your dad wouldn't make a scene knowing they'll be there with us. Just throw a jacket on when we're leaving and chuck it when we get there.
"Ugh Gigi, really can't I just wear what I'm accustomed wearing?" Gigi's eyes bug out and I had to block the pillow she throws at my face.
"You are not going to the campfire meet in tracks and sneakers!" Gigi picks up the clothes from the bed and shoves them into my reluctant arms. When I just stand there looking down at the clothes, Gigi clears her throat loudly which snaps me out of my thoughts.
"Okay okay I'm going" Gigi smiles triumphantly while I disappear into the adjoining bath area. I poke my head back out at the sound of her phone chirping, silently hoping the meet was cancelled. A smile stretches across her face and she quickly sends a reply before tucking the phone back into her pocket. Sighing with defeat I finish getting dressed.
"Come on Rose! Let me see!" The door slowly opens and I step out while awkwardly pulling at the short crop top closed at my back. Gigi wolf whistles and them motions with her hand for me to spin around.
"Hot damn I'm a genius!" Gigi woops just as a knock sounds on my bedroom door. Gigi walks over to open the door slightly.
"Give us a few minutes. We'll be down in a bit" She shuts the door in the person's face without giving them a chance to respond and I couldn't help but feel sorry for the person on the other side of the door. Gigi turns and catching my expression, waves a hand infront of her.
"It's just Liam. Men don't understand women need time to become the objects of their heart's desire!" I giggle at Gigi's antics before walking over to the door and opening it a c***k. Sure enough, Liam still stood there with a scowl on his face.
"Hey, we're almost done. Your sister is just being a drama queen" Liam chuckles while shaking his head.
"When is she never a drama queen?" Liam angles his head a bit causing me to close the door a bit more. He c***s an eyebrow and then chuckles again before pushing off the wall and walking towards the stairs.
"I never knew you were a leather girl Rosie" He bursts out in unabashed laughter as I growl while closing the door again. When I turn around, Gigi has changed into a very short, skin tight black dress and a pair of flat sandals. She was in the process of swooping her chestnut curls into a high ponytail. When she turns to look at me, she was like a Greek goddess as she winks at turns towards the mirror to check her lipstick.
"I'm pretty sure Liam and Caleb aren't going to like seeing you wearing that number around the many young men present tonight" I watch as Gigi turns and winks at me again. Gigi then proceeds to tug at the hem of the dress and it drops a few inches closer to her knees. My mouth hangs open as Gigi giggles and walks towards me with a bottle of perfume. A few sprays later and Gigi was dragging me out of my room and down the stairs.
Liam and Caleb sat in the living room watching a football game. Peeping further into the room, I spotted my father talking to Uncle Luca. I patted Liam on the shoulder and motioned for the guys get ready to leave.
"Rosalie!" The sound of my father calling me back caused a chill to run down my spine. I tugged my jacket in place as I poked my head back into the room with a smile on my face.
"I know the drill dad. 12 o' clock sharp!" My father narrows his gaze as he looks at my clothing and moves to take a step towards me but Gigi's dad holds him back.
"Stick with the twins. Be safe. And Georgia!" Uncle Luca shouts and Gigi pops her head around the wall with a grin on her face.
"Yes daddy?"
"No funny business" Uncle Luca keeps a stern look on his face as Gigi giggles while tugging me towards the front door. Liam and Caleb follow us out the house and we all walk towards Liam's black escalade. The guys sit up front and I couldn't help the anxious feeling that overcomes me as the SUV drives out the compound and onto the main road. The drive is short as the campfire meet was taking place in an open field not too far from the pack grounds. I turned to Gigi who was animatedly typing away on her phone.
"Hey, is everybody who's going to be there from the academy?" I ask and Gigi lifts her gaze away from her phone to stare at me as though I spoke in a foreign language. She blinks a few times before smiling again and shaking her head.
"It's a meet Rose, people from the other schools are going to be there too. Isn't that exciting! Fresh meat to drool over!" Caleb clears his throat and Liam glares at his sister in the rearview mirror. Gigi just rolls her eyes and turns her attention back to her phone.
"We're here. Seems like we need to walk a bit" Liam says and Gigi gasps and looks down at the sandals on her feet. The guys jump out and I slide out my seat as Gigi does the same and walks around the escalade. She glances down at her flats again before looking up at me and squirming.
"These won't survive a walk through the thicket. I thought it was vehicle accessible. Katherine said...." When her voice trails of her face contorts into a mask of rage and I take a step back to put Caleb in her line of attack.
"Uhhh Gigi relax, let's not make a big deal out of it. I'm sure you have a pair of shoes tucked somewhere in my..." Liam's stop talking when his sister shoots him a death glare.
"Uhh Rosie, maybe you should calm her down? We don't want to have to explain to our parents if Katherine ends up in a body bag" Caleb gives me a shove and I take a few cautious steps towards Gigi who seemed ready to rip off somebody's head.
"Why don't we switch?" I motion to remove my boots and Gigi's hand snakes out to stop her. She shakes her head at me while straightening her shoulders and passing a hand along her ponytail.
"I'm good. Let's go"
I turn to look at the twins who simply shrug their shoulder and motion for me to walk ahead of them. The sound of pounding music and laughter and cheers fill the air as we approached the clearing. Gigi suddenly swears out loud and I pause to see her bend over and lift one of her sandals in her hand, the strap hanging loose on the side. Gigi proceeds to take off the other sandal and continues to walk towards the clearing, not sparing anyone behind her a glance.
"Somebody is going to have their face reassembled." Liam says to his brother and we pick up the pace to fall into step with Gigi who had a scowl on her face.
"Gigi..." I stop when Gigi pushes a palm branch out of the way and an enormous campfire blazed in all it's glory ahead of them. A smile spreads across Gigi's face as she steps out into the clearing and removes her jacket.
"What the hell is she wearing?!" the twins shout from behind me and I still while pulling my own jacket closer to me.
"Dad is going to ground her for life"
" Mom is going to skin her alive"
"Georgia put your jacket back on!" they both shout together as they reach my side making me feel like the air was becoming thin around me.
"Did you know she had that on Rosie?" Liam asks and I duck my head before trying to step ahead of them.
"Wait!..." One of the twins tug back my jacket and it falls off my shoulders causing me to freeze where I stood.
"Holy...."
"Rosie! What the hell!"
I shrug the jacket back on and walk briskly towards the direction Gigi went, not daring to look behind me. I felt their gaze boring a hole in my head but I refused to look back. Gigi waves a hand for me to join her at a spot just ahead the fire where it seemed drinks were being shared.
Gigi hands me a plastic red cup and puts a similar one to her lips before smiling and sighing heavily.
"God I needed that. Drink up Rose!"
I tip the cup to my lips as Gigi walks around me and pulls off my jacket. I spin around to grab it from her but my eyes end up clashing with blue, icy orbs staring directly at me across the field. The guy I knew to be Lance Delgado leans in to whisper something to the guy with the icy stare and he nods solemnly before standing and walking away. I released the breath I wasn't aware I held in before turning to Gigi who was wagging her eyebrows at me.
"I saw that. See, I told you! Fresh meat to oggle!" Gigi begins to sway her body to the music and grabs my hand to walk over to her bothers who were staring daggers at us.
"Here I brought you guys beers. Your welcome" Gigi hands each a bottle and they both stare at her over the rim as they take a quick swig of the cold beverage.
"Gigi, you can't dress like that out here. There are wolves from other territories here" Liam states and Caleb nods his head. Gigi is about to say something when a scream penetrates the air and a young girl appears in the clearing shivering and covered in what looked like blood. Some people rush towards her and she shakes her head while pointing behind her. A howl followed by a few more pierce the air as the young woman screams and runs off. Several thin, mangly looking black wolves break through the thicket. Their mouth foaming and their eyes bloodshot as they look towards everyone infront of them.
"Guys...." I begin to say as many people begin to scatter. Liam and Caleb automatically shift themselves to stand infront of Gigi and me, their hands reaching for the blades they both kept at their waists.
"Rogues! Everybody run!"
