'What I won’t give to just be an average girl.

Average means being comfortable around people

Average means not to be noticed by someone

Average means boring.'

Rosalie thought to herself

Roselie has a soul that attracts trouble. Her blessing has been a curse, so when she came to a new town, she expected her life to be a little less adventurous then it had been her entire life. She expected to be an average girl, but no one gets what they wish for especially when your first love has been a beautiful, hot, jaw-dropping Demon.

Augustine has escaped Hell on one condition and he would go to any end to keep his end of the bargain with the devil himself. Or so had he thought before a certain girl enters his life and makes his life hell itself. But there is something about that girl which makes him insane and he doesn’t know what he is losing yet.

Chapter One
“You know kid, why I am sending you down?” “Yes, I know father” “Okay, Once you have accomplished your purpose, you have to come back. Soon”  “Okay father”  Rosaline POV  I check my watch again, it’s 3 am. Why does it have to be 3 AM every day? I look behind me again. There is no one. No one has noticed me sneaking out at this time of night and they bet that the security of our Hostels is f*****g five rated. I laugh at their face. No this is not my idea of Friday night. I am not a teenager filled with outbursting hormones who need to party every day or weekend. I am someone who is cursed to be blessed. This is not the first time, and I guess it won’t be.  I tiptoe my way to the streets and then as my feet hit the road, I start to run. As per my recent premonition, that’s what I think they are, something bad is going to happen on the 56th street. The street lights aren’t working properly, so I have to walk slowly now. It is almost silent except for the sound of the vehicles passing by from somewhere near here. The air today seems eerie and the sky is covered with clouds and no moon or stars. I should have brought an umbrella. Now that I think about it, it would have been tough sneaking out then.  As I thought, it has started to rain lightly. It’s too bad for me since I am still dressed in my school dress, a white blouse and a maroon knee-length skirt. I am wearing socks and shoes which I know would be tough to dry later. I feel another presence and check my watch again, it’s 3: 15 AM, it’s too soon, they shouldn’t be here till 3:30. As I look around, I see a figure. I would have not noticed it if it was not the smell of the lit cigarette. The figure seems to be aware of me but doesn’t make any move.  He looks like someone in his 30s, dressed in all black. Black tee, with a black leather jacket and black jeans. In other circumstances, I would have tried to approach him, but looking at the time and the purpose I am here, I ignore it.  I search for a place to be hidden and sit on my knees, pulling my skirt down. I notice the figure sit straight now on the bike unlike before when he was laying calming on the bike as if sunbathing. I try to ignore him again, though I feel myself being pulled by the masculine smell and physiques screaming from him.  “I don’t know if we should be here. It’s too late and I feel…” I hear a girl speak, her voice shivering.  “Oh please for the last time, shut up. You are freaking out for no reason” the other girl says.  Oh if they would ever use the feminine sense of power to predict when things seem wrong to good use. I wouldn’t have to be here.  “No, please Scarlett, hear me, I feel something is wrong, how could you trust anyone you meet online,” the first girl says.  “Don’t act like a child. I have talked to him and trust me he was totally into me. I just want to meet him once then we will go” the second girl says.  I check my watch again. Okay, I have 5 minutes, 5 minutes till the guy would be here. I jump up and walk towards that girls. I know I can’t tell them what is going to happen, they would not believe me, no one will. So I have to make something up.  I quickly move towards them wasting no time.  Both of them are stunned for a second to see me and then they start to whisper to one other.  “Hi” I approach them and they ignore me.  Who would want to talk to a weirdo at this time of night “I just heard the news, there is going to be a storm today, I guess you should go home” I look at my watch again, it’s almost 3: 25. Now I am panicking too.  “So, why the hell are you here?” The second one says, crossing her arms across her chest.  So she just is acting tough. She is scared too. If none of them is strong enough, they shouldn’t be here.  I sigh, I should get going soon. They would be here any second now but I can’t leave them here.  I stand straight, chin up and smile. “ I live right here in that building and was just taking a stroll”. Now that made them think a little. They believe me so they should get going now.  But I am too late, as I hear the sound of the car. My breathing has almost raced up as my legs start to move back on their own. I am in a confused state where I don’t know if I should run and should stay with them trusting the feeling of more man force for what is about to come.  The second girl, scarlet is smiling, blushing and I feel sorry for her. I shake my head and my shoulder slump down.   “He is here, let’s meet and go back soon” the words from the first girl die in her mouth as she sees a 40-year-old man coming out of the car. He looks rugged and tall. There is an evil grin on his face as he moves slowly towards the girls.  “You were so hard to get,” he says moving his hand on the first girl’s face while she is frozen on her spot. The second girl runs away leaving the poor girl alone. “But thanks to your friend, I got you” he pulls her towards him with such a force that the girl almost screamed.  “f**k…” I whisper.  I can’t leave her. The minute you think the world is full of trusting people you get this. “Move away from her, she is too young,” I say as I try to put a distance between the girl and the man. The girl from near seems like she must be 18.  Too naive “Oh, I must be lucky, that I got two for the price of one” he grabs my wrist and holds it tight “Let her go, this isn’t right” I beg now feeling the force of hand holding my wrist, I try to dig my nails into his hand without success.  One loud slap gets me on the ground. I could hear ringing in my ears and the burn of his hand on my face. With tears in my eyes, I look up to find the guy above the girl pulling off her skirt.  I get up immediately and start to punch his back. One more slap makes me bleed from my lips. I look back at the figure and cry.  “Please help her” as soon as the words are out of my mouth, the guys get off his bike. Throwing away his cigarette, he lights the lighter again but this time, he bends down and runs the lighter on an invisible line surrounding the men. I am mesmerized by his effortless walk like a leopard. And then everything happens in a blur of the moment.  I can’t see anything as the line has started to raise flames of fire around the men. The guy pounces inside and within a few seconds, everything is over.  I rub my eyes a few more times as I don’t know what happened.  As the flames start to die, I see him coming out with the girl. She is sobbing now and is finding it difficult to walk. I move close to them, helping the girl and making her sit down for a second so I could see what happened.  I turn back and I am hit by a chest close to me. The smell of leather and cigarette immediately hits me and I almost grab the man having this dark and sensual smell. I look up and see his eyes staring in mine.  “You are a young maiden. You shouldn’t be out at this time” his voice is deep and sensual pulling me towards it. My eyes fall on the one thing I desire the most, his lips. His full, nude lips.  His eyes move over my body as if they are touching me everywhere. I bite my lower lip hard to stop a moan.  He moves closer to my ear and I feel myself breathing slowly.  “Too young to think about it,” he says with a smirk on his face. I blink again and again to know if it’s true if this man standing in front of me is true when a cry behind me breaks the spell.  I look towards the girl sitting down and sobbing and quickly move towards her, as I turn to thank the stranger, he is gone.
