For two days Sebastian haunted Evan’s every waking thought. He searched for the pale-faced stranger in every crowd, in every shadow; expected to see him waiting on his doorstep, but never did. It annoyed him that a complete stranger could occupy so much of his time. It seemed a cliché but the more he tried to block that handsome face, those mesmerising eyes, the more vivid the image became. “How have you been?” It was Claire, sparkling on the doorstep. “I was just in the shower,” Sebastian replied, tightening his grip on the towel around his waist. “Well, you go and finish up and I’ll pour you a glass of this fine fifteen dollar wine.” “Fifteen dollars?” “Sure.
