“I missed you,” Kayden says, pulling back from the kiss, and I tell him I missed him, too. He hands me the bouquet he has in his hand and I thank him, but my brows furrow in question, noticing there's. something weird about his eyes.
“Are you okay?” I ask him, and he says he is, pecking my forehead again before stepping inside. Is he high? I follow behind him and we head into the living area. I place the flowers on the table and help him with his jacket before telling him I will be back, also offering him something to drink. I put the flowers in water and just as I turn around, he walks into the kitchen, saying something smells good.
