CHAPTER 19

711 Words
KIRA'S POV:- Stepped out of the bathroom and went into my closet. I pulled out my jeans shorts and paired it with a blue tank top. I wore my clothes and dried my hair. I applied lip gloss and wore my snickers. Once I was ready, I stepped out of my bedroom. I went downstairs and straight to the kitchen. I did not know how much hungry I was until I stepped into the kitchen. Aunt Stacy had cooked lasagna for lunch. I inhaled the aroma of freshly baked lasagna and my stomach growled loudly. Aunt Stacy giggled and served me the lasagna. I thanked her and took the plate from her hands. I went into the dining room and took my seat. I started digging in. Soon, Roy and Riva joined me as well. Roy also brought me soda that I had forgotten on the kitchen counter. I thanked him and we all enjoyed our lunch together. Grandma stepped into the kitchen and took her seat. We all paused for a moment but regained our composure. "So, your father called me. How it all happened in the first place?" Grandma asked me in a taunting tone and I froze for a moment. "I don't want to talk about it, grandma." I replied to her in a low tone and kept eating my lunch. "Why do you not want to talk about it? I remember you saying that Tony will keep you happy and he is the only one you want in your life." She asked me and I glared at her. "You don't want me here, say it clearly. I will move out. But whatever happened between Tony and I, it's personal. You can not say anything. And about the bastard you have chosen for me, for the record, he is a notorious man. You think I would waste my life for a man who was divorced three times. His ex wives said nothing but two things. He was cheating on them and he used to violate them, that was why they left him." I said and stood up. "Kira, finish your lunch at least." Riva said and grabbed my hand. "You guys enjoy. I suddenly lost my appetite." I replied and stomped out of the dining room. I was sitting alone in the garden. I was pissed at grandma for hitting my nerves at the wrong time. After my time with Dominic, at least I wasn't hurting. But as always, grandma ruined my mood. Uncle Nathan came and sat beside me. He wrapped an arm around me and I hugged him tightly. "It's okay, Kira. Stacy told me everything. You are on the right path. Don't think of yourself alone. I am with you. Your parents are with you. Stacy, Riva and Roy are with you." He said while rubbing my back. I sighed and wiped the tear that had escaped my eye. "It's not fair. She is taunting me for that son of a b***h, Dan. Just because he is the grandson of her childhood friend and she promised her friend something I don't want. Doesn't mean she would blame me for everything Tony had done. He was cheating on me." I said while trying hard to control my tears. "Hey, I will talk to her. And also will tell her not to talk to you upon this topic. This chapter of your life is closed. I will make sure no one will open it again. It's your house as well. You are my daughter, just like Riva is my daughter. You can stay at my place as long as you want." He cooed me like I was a baby who was crying. "Come on, I want to see your smile." He added as he broke the hug and wiped my tears. When I did not smile he raised a brow at me and started tickling me. I was a very ticklish person. I started laughing hysterically as he kept tickling my stomach. "Okay okay, time out. I will die laughing here." I said and he pulled me in a fatherly hug again. He kissed the top of my head. We stayed there for a while. As the sun set down, he took me back into the mansion.
