Thomas’ POV With the bodies piled in a heap and the square washed clean, I light the fire and a couple of us stay behind to wait for it to burn. It is always sad when you watch the collateral damage of war. The innocent victims fighting because they were ordered to or because they had no alternative but to protect their land.
