Chapter 8Alec sat at the kitchen table, his sore ankle propped up on another chair, when footsteps echoed on the back porch. He stiffened. There’d been no sign of Rowan since he woke up and found breakfast waiting. Considering the revelations Rowan had let drop last night, he couldn’t decide if it was good or bad he wasn’t around to grill some more. He hadn’t seen the virgin thing coming at all.
