Chapter 15When Will asked Uncle Martin to show him where Graham was attacked, Alec asked to go along. “Why?” they said in unison. Because with Rowan upstairs tending to Graham, the house felt as empty as it had been when they’d left for Maine, and Alec couldn’t deal with that now. He couldn’t tell them that, so instead said, “More eyes is good, right? And I’ve never seen that part of the estate. I’d like to.” Uncle Martin narrowed his eyes, but Will nodded without hesitation. “You might see something we don’t. Go bundle up.” Out in the snow, he wasn’t sure how any of them would be able to see anything as they traipsed through the trees.
