Chapter 12

2798 Words
I’ve been up the entire night. I’ve been planning every aspect of this party just as Alexis wants it. I really want this to work out for the best she clearly needs this. She needs a social life. She needs more in life than schedules, stressed nights studying and family. Family is very important and Sebastian is a great father in that aspect. He cares for his kids and he will always be there for them, but you need a support group outside your family because the sad truth is that family moves on. They find love get married and have children. That child becomes their first priority. To me it just feels like it’s different with friends, they make time for you where with family it becomes family time when they hang out with you. Alexis isn’t that close with her siblings as is. I just want her to have a bigger circle. I poured probably my hundredth cup of coffee and walked out on the deck to get some fresh air, it’s around five in the morning. I was hoping the fresh air along with the coffee will wake me up and get me ready for this day. I stood there closing my eyes letting the slight breeze blow through my hair. When I opened my eyes to take a sip of coffee, my eyes clashed with Sebastian. He seemed to be jogging. He didn't have a shirt on. His chest seemed to glisten. He looked so strong, since with each step I could see muscles bulge all over. I couldn't look away. I was mesmerized by his movements. My thoughts turned dark fast as I wondered how it would feel to drag my fingers across every inch of his body or how it would feel to me in those strong arms. How it feels to wrap my legs...nope, nope, I'm stopping right there. As I came out of my deep thoughts, I noticed he was gone. "Looking for something?" I heard from behind me. I instantly jumped slightly and turned around blushing. I knew that I was caught. He had seen me gawking at him. He is my boss. I shouldn't be drooling over him. "Saw anything you liked?" What kind of question is that . "N..no I was just taking in the breeze to wake me up a bit." I said, trying to cover up my embarrassing behaviour. He took a step closer to me. My breath caught in my throat. "I was out here trying to clear my head from a certain distraction." He was so close and I swore I caught him looking at my lips. I swallowed hard as my eyes shot between his eyes and his lips. "Clearly it didn't work." He took a step back. Why didn't I take a step back? What is wrong with me? I don’t know how many times I need to tell myself that he is my boss and that I have a boyfriend. Although he was the one to step up to me and I’m sure he meant something by what he said. He might just be teasing me to get a reaction out of me. All this is just clearly pend up s****l tension. I only get to see Juan once a year. We usually make up for the time we missed, but with him being gone for so long nights do seem to feel longer. I miss him terribly and I think I am projecting that longing onto Sebastian. I’m tired of feeling alone, unsatisfied and longing for him. It has to be that. I’m not the type of person to lust after someone, but I guess if I had to lust after someone my incredibly fit, sexy billionaire boss isn’t a bad option since he is so far out of my grasp. We aren’t in the same league. “I should go and take a shower and get the kids ready for today.” I said rushing into the house. As I got to my room I was still holding my coffee cup, I’m starting to begin a collection of kitchenware from embarrassing moments with my hot boss. I sat on my bed and finished the coffee before getting my clothes and heading to the bathroom. I took a long shower trying to even wash my mind from the dirty thoughts. When I was done I put my things back in my tiny room before I walked over to Ava’s room. I opened the door , but Alexis was already there picking out an outfit for Ava. I guess in my time away from them she really took to the big sister role. “I got her you should go and try to get Matthew up. He hates going to our mothers on Saturdays.” I don’t have the whole backstory, but from what I’ve read online and heard from Sebastian here and there, there isn’t much of a relationship between his ex-wife - Gia. And the kids. I have never met her. Today will be my first time at meeting her. I decided to drop the kids along with the girl that will be supervising the visit. I don’t want Matthew and Ava to feel like I’m paying more attention to Alexis. I don’t have favourites. I’ve never have and I never will. Anyway I’m not going to judge Gia until I’ve met her myself. I know the tabloids aren’t always truthful. I knocked before going into Matthews room. He was still sleeping. I woke him up, but he just turned and slept further. He never has a problem getting up in the week, but I guess it’s not fun having to get up this early on the weekend. I tried again, but he just pulled the blanket over his face. I was done with the nice approach. I grabbed the blankets pulling it off the bed throwing it on the ground. “Okay get up. I’m not asking again. You need to shower and get ready. Make your bed while you are at it.” I laid there glaring at me. “You are mean in the morning.” He complained at me. I just laughed at his cute grumpy face. “I tried being nice, you didn’t listen. I only try being nice twice. If I have to ask a third time it comes with consequences like making your own bed. Don’t take to long your breakfast will get cold.” I told him and then I left the room. I went to kitchen to clear the table that I left a mess of papers this morning. I then went to Mrs. Wilde and informed her of the itinerary and all the details for the day. By the time I was done talking to her, breakfast was ready and waiting on the table. Sebastian was already sitting there reading his newspaper. I blushed as I thought back to this morning. I sat down not saying anything. I didn’t want to bother him while he was reading anyway. Matthew came stomping in sitting next to me. “Did you make your bed? I’m going to be disappointed when I go and check and it’s not done.” I asked him as he started digging into his breakfast. “Yes I made it.” He answered me taking another bite of his bacon. I put my hand on his head roughing up his hair. He glared at me. “I appreciate it.” I told him before turning back to my breakfast. Sebastian had put his newspaper down now that the kids were shuffling in. He was looking at Matthew like he was shocked. ”I thought for sure I would have to drag you out of bed today.” Sebastian said to him. ”Mila beat you to it.” He said before continuing on his bacon. Ava came running in followed by Alexis. Ava was bathed and dressed in a cute outfit, while Alexis was still in her PJ’s since she doesn’t have to be anywhere early today. The two of them sat down and started digging into their breakfast. “This isn’t fair why does Alexis get to stay home!” Matthew complained, the bacon had seemed to keep him quiet, but since it is done now he seems ready for an argument,. ”Because her friends are coming over. You saw your friends yesterday. It’s only fair that she also get a turn. Now finish your breakfast. We aren’t arguing about things that can’t be changed so early in the morning.” I told him just as Sebastian was about to jump in. “Fine.” He said in an overly dramatic manner, but then he turned back to his his breakfast. I looked up to see Sebastian watching me intently. Nope I’m not getting caught in that gaze. I quickly looked down to my breakfast. I had trouble eating, because I could feel his eyes on me the whole time. When I was done I wiped Ava’s face and took her to wash her hands, telling Matthew to go watch his as well. We met up back at the kitchen. Sebastian stood there to greet the kids. He handed each of them a lunch bag. I found it odd, but left it. I strapped Ava in her car seat. Matthew was excited that he could sit in the front of the car since Alexis wasn’t with us. I put in the address and then we were off. I asked Matthew about the lunch bags and he told me that she forgot to feed him the one time so now Sebastian sends food along just in case she forgets again. I don’t know how a mother could forget to feed her kids. The girl that was going with them today also looked shocked, but she didn’t say anything from the backseat of the car. I pulled up at her apartment building. I got Ava out the car and carried her up to the apartment. I knocked but there was no answer so I tried again after the third time I was knocking harder. “Does she get consequences too?” Asked Matthew. He had lightened my mood a bit. I smiled at him. I really hoped that she didn’t forget that the kids were coming. I mean she has them every Saturday how do you forget that, but I guess if she can forget to feed them…I took out my phone and called Sebastian telling him about the situation. He told me that he would call her. Within five minutes the door swung open and there stood his ex wife. Still in her sleepwear that was not kids friendly. A guy came stumbling out from where she appeared he kissed her and then he left. I felt uncomfortable. I just hoped that it wasn’t a one night stand. I feel like this isn’t something the kids need to see. She stepped aside so that the kids and I can walk in. “I overslept.” She told them. “I haven’t made breakfast yet.” Obviously not She snapped her fingers at the girl that came with us. "Makes us some breakfast!" She didn't even ask properly, she just demanded. "The kids already had breakfast." I told her, smilingly at her. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. "Who are you? Are you his new slut? I thought he was dating a supermodel." I was offended. How could she just say something like that in front of the kids? I was shocked almost beyond words. "I'm the nanny." She looked from me to the other girl. "Then who is she?" I was very frustrated with her at that point. "I'm going to be with Alexis so she will be helping you out with Ava and Matthew. Now I suggest you go and shower and get dressed while we fix you some breakfast." She gave me a look that would make most people back off, but I work with kids. They can be a handful and I don't back down from a challenge. "You are just the help. You don't tell me what to do!" No more benefit of the doubt. She is an awful person. "That is why I'm helping you. Do as I said before, I call Sebastian and inform him about what is going on here." She glared at me before she left the room. I wasn't planning on staying, but since she wasn't ready yet. I decided to stick around. The other girl made her breakfast while I put a YouTube video on for Ava. Matthew took out his phone and played games. My frustration only build when it took her two hours before she reappeared looking like a model herself with full glam make-up and everything. Finally. I have a lot of things to do. "What do you have planned for the day?" I know she has to have something planned since Sebastian mentioned he paid for their activities. "I didn't plan ahead of time! We'll see where we end up. You can leave now." I hate her, which is odd for me because I don't hate people all that often. How was he married to her? They are complete polar opposites. I went over to say goodbye to the kids. I told Matthew to call me or his dad at anytime and then I left. I was going to have to talk to Sebastian about this because her behaviour just wasn't right. Those kids deserve so much better. I drove back home. It's strange calling it home. It's such a beautiful place. It looks more like something out of a fairy tale. With al the green grass, statues and the forest like atmosphere around it and the ocean view. I never imagined I'd see a house worth 40 million dollars, I would never have thought that I would live in one. I drove to my parking space, I was hardly out of the car before Alexis came rushing to me. "Where have you been?" She yelled at me. "I was taking care of Ava and Matthew. Your mom was not ready." I told her there was so much more I had to say, but it's her mom and I'm not going to bad mouth her mom, she's a kid she doesn't need to be involved. "Yeah she tends to do that. She knows my dad sends help with. So she takes full advantage of that." I can't believe that anyone can be so damn lazy. "Let's go check on everything. Do you know where your father is?" I asked because I need to talk to him about Gia and her behaviour. "I don't know where he is. Zoella arrived an hour ago. They had a fight. She didn't like the idea of a bunch of kids running around here today." Great! I forgot about the girlfriend coming today. I just dealt with the mother. I'll just talk to him later. Alexis and I started to check everything. The patio deck by the kitchen is being set up with snacks, drinks and food. Then on the porch near the pool the music is being set up. There was lawn chairs being put out on the grass surrounding the pool with towels on them. The pool was filled with floaties in all shapes and sizes. They put up a floating volleyball net and then there is a bull riding floaty and mini flamingo cup holder floaties. Lastly there was a space set up for a pit fire with a bunch of pillows scattered around it. It all looked good, but I could still see that Alexis was nervous. She didn’t have to be. Everything would be perfect. We even got a bunch of waterproof phone covers so that the guests can take photos in the pool. Next, we went down to the basement- my old room. Sebastian had turned it into a gaming room for the kids. We checked that everything was working and that everything was clean. Some snacks and drinks were put out there to, lastly, we went to see that everything was ready at their home cinema. The popcorn machine was filled and there was a mini fridge that was filled with drinks. Now all that was left to do is to get ready. The kids would be starting to arrive in about 2 hours. I don’t know why, but Alexis made a point of telling me that we needed to put effort into our outfits, hair and make-up. I didn’t see the point since she’ll be getting in the pool and all that effort would have been for nothing, but I will listen to her.
