Chapter 18~ Prepared

2007 Words
~Azula~ Days passed without incident and she didn’t find anything else on that map other than the different packs that littered the area. Upon observing she discovered her pack wasn’t located where it used to be, which was interesting, her pack had been located not far from where it was originally built. What she couldn’t figure out was why they had moved, and only a couple miles off of where they had previously resided, It didn’t make much sense. Azula tiredly pinched the bridge of her nose, her sapphire gaze shifting over the people that mosied about outside. One of those people was Vulcan, he was going over orders and procedures simply making sure his pack would remain functioning for his three-day trip. His red hair seemed to glow a brighter shade in the sun’s light, golden gaze looking over every little thing, his dark freckles splashed playfully across the bridge of his nose like uncharted islands in a sea of fire, they almost made him seem boyish. Vulcan seemed to have read her mind for at that moment he looked up and she flushed, his gaze that held the worth of millions pierced through her. She wanted him to pierce her somewhere else if she was being completely honest with herself right now. The memory of the shower replayed before her eyes, canines sinking into the fabric of her dampened undergarments, the way he tore them with ease from her flushed needy and flesh. The way his fingers pumped inside of her, his golden eyes had been locked on hers watching every single reaction she gave him. “Its about time we are one the same page about that man” Seraphina deadpanned. She walked away from the window smiling and shaking her head happy her wolf was talking again. “Ah I missed you,” she told her wolf, grabbing a small black duffel bag, as she said he was leaving tomorrow and so was she. “I was always here I was just thinking about everything we have discovered, everything we have yet to discover as well. This prophecy has me perplexed and I’m sure it doesn’t mean what we think it does.” Seraphina murmured in a low tone as if she was afraid someone was listening, but that wasn’t possible only she could hear her. “It tends to be that way” she reminded her wolf. Stuffing the books she had into the duffel bag along with clothes, she was going to have to sneak into the kitchen to get food to pack. Let’s just hope she was back before he was. Wouldn’t go over well otherwise. Azula took the packed duffel bag and stuffed it under the bed, for now, he was leaving early and she planned to wake up right after him and leave while everyone thought she was still sleeping. By the time they discovered she was gone, Vulcan would be at her old pack and she would be halfway to her destination. No one knew of her plan and she planned on keeping it that way. The opening of the door caused her head to turn to see her mate enter the room, Vulcan said no words as he made even strides towards her. Her heartbeat matched those strides, there was a fire in his gaze and destruction in his touch. He didn’t come here for chit-chat, no, he came here to consume and consume he would as his hungry lips crashed against hers. Flames sparked between them literal physical flames that danced and weaved under the intensity of the kiss as his tongue plundered her mouth. Azula gripped his face pouring her emotions into the kiss, his canines catching on her lip causing blood to spill but they didn’t care, deepening the kiss as his hand slid down her body to grab her thighs and pick her up. Her legs wrapped about his midriff as her hands moved from his face to his fiery red hair. She gripped it tightly causing him to groan as her tongue slipped into his mouth exploring as their flames continued to dance. The colors mixing and twirling causing purple hues to lick at the flames where they combined. They didn’t need air for all she cared, that’s what the nose breathing was for as she ravaged his mouth. Kissing him was always an out-of-this-world experience, it was like going somewhere new but knowing you were meant to be here. The journey had been hard and demanding but he was the rest after the trek, the shelter in the storm, his lips her solace, his touch her muse, his words were her scripture hanging onto to every word like it could bring a redemption she didn’t know she needed. His eyes were her windows, she didn’t just see his soul in them, she saw hers, they harbored desire, adoration, and dare she say potentially love? No no that was too soon wasn’t it? The kiss continued without falter, her back pressed against the wall until they finally broke apart flames dying down as her forehead rested softly against his, “gonna miss me that much?” She murmured. “I already do and I haven't even left yet,” she laughed at his words using a finger to gently trace his jaw. “I’ll see you when you get back,” she cooed softly as he nodded. “I was thinking we could let our wolves run together tonight, they haven’t got to do so since you shifted and I think they would enjoy getting to bond.” He questioned. Seraphina took no time to chime in, “hell yes! I would love to finally spend time with my mate, we have been patiently waiting.” And by we she assumed she meant Sol and herself. “We would love to” she responded for both of them as he softly began kissing her neck a soft moan escaping her, placing her hands on his shoulders, his length grinding against her core causing him to growl at the scent of arousal that filled the air. Vulcan gently put her down, a calloused warm hand held her face, tilting it upwards as he kissed her forehead. “I have to go check on the few warriors that are coming with me, I’ll be back in time for dinner and afterward we will go on that run” he cooed softly. Azula smiled nodding as she he released her, watching after him as he left. She needed to sneak into the kitchen to get food anyways. Acting natural she made her way to the kitchen grabbing a small basket as she began piling in enough food that would hopefully last her a couple of days, if she had to she could hunt making a mental note to pack a hunting knife and a first aid kit, little injuries she could heal easily but bigger ones took a bit of time and sometimes assistance. She had filled the basket when Ysabel’s caused her to jump “Luna?” Her hand flew to rest on her chest as she observed the woman. “Ysabel you can’t sneak up on people like that,” she said seriously but gently. Ysabel only smiled not showing any displeasure as she bounded happily over to her, peering into the basket as Azula started thinking of excuses to say, but none were needed as Ysabel offered one for her without even realizing. “Luna if you were hungry you could have told me and I could have gotten you food,” she looked over her shoulder at Elias who was leaning against the doorframe, she tried to ignore him, pretend he wasn’t there but he was ordered to follow her around after all. “Well, I didn’t want to bother anyone,” she had already planned what she was going to tell Elias but now with the run planned with her mate she had a better excuse. “Plus Vulcan and I are going on a run this evening to let our wolves out to bond,” she explained truthfully smiling innocently. Taking her time to get to the point “and so it’s kind of a surprise for him, gonna set up something to eat there,” she didn’t like being dishonest to her but she couldn’t risk being caught. Ysabel fed into it, Elias straightened as he observed the situation. His eyes took a glazed look, she knew he was asking the Alpha if they had a run planned for this evening. Azula couldn’t help but smirk as it was undoubtedly confirmed on the other end. “Well I have to go pack this all up I’ll see you around Ysabel,” she said figuring the woman a side hug. She managed to her back to the room without further suspicion pulling out the duffel bag once more as she began packing into it the bag that was growing heavier, digging through her mates things to find a hunting knife she saw a few nights ago placing it into the bag along with the small first aid kit. Taking a deep breath she slung the bag over her shoulder as she stepped out of the room looking up at Elias. Her smile brightened as she looked up at him, his arms crossing over his chest as he raised a brow, “don’t worry” she cooed knowingly “it’s just the food, I’m gonna go hide it, so when we have the late-night snacks after our run I can surprise him with it” she explained blinking innocently watching as he thought about it before nodding. “Alright but I’m going with you,” “You realize I most definitely knew that right?” She raised a brow nearly amused. “Well at least you aren’t dumb” Elias cooed playfully bumping into her as she rolled her eyes leading the way. It was starting to get chilly outside, she would have to make sure she remembered to grab a jacket when she left. Azula looked over her shoulder to make sure he was following, why did he always feel the need to stay so far back? Suppose he tried to give her space but she always knew he was there, no use in hiding it. She looked around before finding a tree deep within the pack territory it was perfect to host the duffle bag, shoving it into the hole at the base of the tree, it was just big enough to conceal the bag. A frosty breath escaped her as she hugged herself looking at the spot she had chosen, she didn't want to deceive her mate but this was something she knew she needed to do, closing her eyes as she tilted her head upwards towards the sky drinking in the rays of the sun that still tried to warm her face despite the colder air. The leaves on the trees danced to an unseen melody, only one they could hear that was carried in whispers through the wind. The gentle sway of the limbs on the trees groaned as they resisted the will of the wind, the leaves rustled right alongside them. The babbling brook that you could hear from where she stood joined in, the sounds together creating Nature's beautiful symphony. Listening as nature continued to create its beautiful music. The clearing of a throat caused her eyes that held precious gems to open. Elias stood there flushing looking a bit embarrassed. “Yes?” she said giving him her full attention. “Not everyone has that fancy fire magic, I'm cold can we go back?” She couldn't help but laugh at him, shaking her head playfully giving him a Tsk. tsk look. Truly he should have said something sooner, finally she gave him an apologetic smile as she nodded, “of course I'm sorry” she said softly. Plus she had finished what she came to do, everything was finally prepared.
