Jacob
It's been a few months since all the s**t hit the fan.
I still can't believe I was fooled by that bastard. He mentioned everything to me, everything and he had to ruin it all by going behind my back, going behind everyone's back just to make himself look like a f*****g hero.
He was no f*****g hero, he was a f*****g traitor. He abused everyone's trust, even his stepbrother's. I can't believe he had the nerve to go behind everyone's back and tell Killian f*****g Dimitri that Tiara was here. He played us, especially me and Killian.
He took the bait. I had the feeling that he had more feelings towards Tiara than he was letting on, but she was far from interested. Tiara had always felt for the wrong guy.
Reece was a good example of that. He played on her vulnerability and pushed his way into her life, making her believe that he was the man for her, not a monster.
Then there was that prick Deeks. What kind of name was that anyway? He was some sick-raised bastard that had got Tiara right where he wanted her twisted right around his little finger. Until Shaun showed up throwing all his weight around.
He was the kind of guy you never wished to meet on a night if you valued your life enough to wish for life, not death. Unfortunately, he and Reece were kicked out of our school. They were split up and Shawn ended up at the same school as Tiara and ended up with her bullied as his friends. One thing was evident he wasn't giving up without a fight. No matter how much she ran, he found her. Not this time they all had lengthy sentences, Shawn more than the other two, so hopefully, he wouldn't be out in fifteen years, and they would keep him in for life.
A knock on my door drew me out of my thoughts. "Enter."
The door pushed open, squeaking. Damn traffic needs oiling or new hinges. I thought.
I looked at the young woman who had entered my room. She was head of the FBI. She had a great domineer. She was a no-s**t kind of person. And it worked. She always got the job done and to her standards. Someone had some shoes to fit in when she retired If she ever does. She's a workaholic.
"Madeline, it's nice to see you again l. What can I do for you today?"
"Good morning Jacob. Going to see you in a good mood today."
I smiled. "Please take a seat."
She smiled, sitting down. She was a woman I would love to get to know. She was exactly my type, down-to-earth, sexy. Cut to the chase, she reminded me a lot of Stacy. So f*****g sexy and cocky, just the way I like my women. Pity, she bats for the other team.
"It's rude to stare, Jacob. And wipe the door off your chin." She chuckled.
I quickly wiped my chin. "Better?"
She chucked. "Much, let's get down to business."
"And here I was thinking this was a friendly visit. You wound me." I said dramatically, putting my hand over my heart.
She laughed, shaking her head.
"Always a joker."
"Always."
"And a charmer."
She has no idea.
She cleared her throat. Pulling out a file and placed it in front of me. "This is your new assignment, Jacob. You're going in alone."
I looked at her. She can be serious. I never go in alone. All types of s**t could happen.
"I never work alone. You know that better than anyone."
"I know Jacob."
"I feel a but coming on."
"You have to do this assignment on your own, Jacob. This guy can sniff the FBI a mile away."
"He must be good."
"He is. Ciaran Mitchell. He and his younger brothers Eoin and Fionn Mitchell are relatives of Killian Dimitri. We need everything on him, Jacob. They are a big mafia gang in Ireland. We need to get them to leak at least something, anything on Killian.
We believe that they are working alongside Thomas. We need to find Chloe and Kasapien Thomas and bring them in for questioning. We believe they are in an illegal drug ring with the Mitchells. We knew you'd be up for the job, so I put your name forward, and they agreed."
"What's the catch?"
"Don't get angry. Okay, but we put you forward because of your sexuality. "
"Because I'm bi?"
"Yes. I'm sorry Jacob. But, this guy is dangerous; he will not see us coming if we send in a guy. He's gay, Jacob. Fully our the closet gay. I'm sure you can lure him in and get everything you need to know out of him. Then we'll get there to take him down and get you the f**k out of there."
"Fine. I'll go if you have drinks with me tonight."
"I'm married, Jacob."
"Then ask your lady to join us. I, for one, would like to meet the woman that stole your heart and I couldn't even get a look in." I smirked.
"And I know you prefer men to women, Jacob." She grinned.
"That may be so, but I like women who are a challenge."
"Well, I guess you're out of luck. There aren't many of those."
"And forgot I knew it. I've only met two in my whole existence."
"And who would they be?"
"My ex, Stacy, and you."
"Well, I must say I'm glad me and your ex have something in common, Jacob. Maybe we should meet."
"I would sure and would love that if she were here. Unfortunately, she and her husband left after the Thompson trial."
"The girl married to the mafia guy was your ex?"
I grinned. "Sure was. Stacy was always feisty and knew what she wanted. She always stuck with her friends and where her heart was. She is one in a million."
"So she knows about your sexuality?"
"She Diss. She was the first I'd ever admitted to. She was shocked at first, but when it wore off she told me she loved me no matter if I swung both ways." I chuckled. I remember how nervous I was that day telling my first crush and my only girlfriend I was bisexual, and I not only got hard for girls, but guys too. It was nerve-wracking. I thought I was going to not only lose my best friend but my girl too.
But when I came out of nowhere with that statement I had to laugh, and I laughed so hard she told me she hated me. I knew she didn't because she was soon laughing, so we ended up falling on the bed making out and making love, leading to other things and that eventually ended us being in a right mess having the best s*x ever. I had never forgotten her though I told her we should forget about each item to keep Tiara safe.
"I can see she meant a lot to you."
"She still does. We were together for four years. We decided our friendship and Tiara were more important than our relationship, so we did what we thought was best to keep Thomson away from Tiara."
"I understand Jacob. I feel that way about Juel's as well. I don't know what I would do if she wasn't in my life right now."
I smiled.
"Anyway, I'll leave you to look over the paperwork, and we'll meet you tonight at the bistro. Around eighties okay for you?"
"It's fine. I can wait to meet your other half."
She smiled. Pulling herself out of the chair. "We'll do lunch tomorrow and go over the plan before you leave."
"Bye Madeline, I'll see you tonight."
"You will."
She smiled, before leaving and closing the door. Right, time to look at my new assignment.
