I was doing this to make a little girl happy. I was doing it for Arianna. I’d said I would love to meet her godfathers, but the truth was I was dreading it after everything I had been through with Arianna. I was a bundle of nerves and my nightmares weren’t getting any better, just the opposite. I couldn’t burden my problems on Scarlet; she had too many of her own with two men donating over her. Then there was Arianna, a gift she had been given another chance to make the right decisions in life. They all knew Reece wasn’t coming out of prison anytime soon, but they made it, so he would never find her. Her identity had changed, just not her features. That I was truly grateful for. I wouldn’t recognize her if they had completely changed the girl I once knew.
