Marcus stepped out of the lift first Domenic and I followed behind him as we followed him down the corridor heading for the maternity ward. His friend met us at the door, and we shook his hand after Marcus introduced him as Dr. Langton Spar. He seemed a little edgy and perplexed. He looked like he was about to vomit. I don’t think he believed in Marcus’s theory that the girl we were visiting was Claudia and not Scarlet Undergrove.
“I’ll leave you all here. It was nice meeting the both of you.”
“Likewise.”
He smiled, nodded and headed away from the maternity ward.
