I felt Zayden inching closer to me. I knew what he was about to do. At least I was hoping he was. I wanted him to kiss me. I couldn't believe I was saying that, but it was the truth.
He was gentle with me when he got close enough to touch me. He brushed the back of his knuckles down my cheek. His hands were soft and warm. Just that simple touch was turning me on. I was never more grateful than I am right now that he isn't a wolf. He wouldn't be able to smell my arousal, and that made it easier for me to relax.
I felt like I've humiliated myself for one lifetime. I didn't want to get caught up in the moment with him just to get my heart broken again, but he was making that really difficult. Everything about him was drawing me in, making me crave more of him. Stupid beloved
