Two Peas In a Pod

Lorcan “To a moment of peace after all the madness the last few months have brought,” Grandma Maddy raised her wine glass in the air and we all reached for our own drinks. “It hasn’t been easy but once again, this family has proved just how united and invincible we are. Anyone who wants to mess with us, bring it on!” “Bring it on!” My entire family boomed with beaming smiles to toast yet another defeat against the evil of our world. “Will Raiden and Sienna be joining us?” Grandma Alina asked my mum as she started cutting into her steak. “Later. They were at the hospital today with her father.” “Ha. I would love to have been a fly on the wall for that first meeting,” Leif chuckled. “Imagine that… waking up to find your daughter is mated to a tribrid of royal blood in a supernatural world that you tried to protect her from in the first place,” I joined in as everyone laughed in agreement. “Raiden will have won him over in the first few minutes, no bother,” Grandpapi added confidently, lifting his glass of blood to his lips. “No one can resist a Romano.” “Uh, I can!” Grandma Alina raised her hand, giving my Grandpapi a cheeky wink. Pops chuckled next to her, draping his arm around her shoulder. “Yeah, this one only has eyes for a Black.” “Urgh, we know. You are all still disgustingly in love after all these years. It’s not a competition,” Ilaria groaned, shooting our grandparents a judgemental glare. “And if it was a competition, we would win,” Mum smirked, grabbing my dad’s strong jaw in her hand and pulling his lips to hers. “How have you come to that conclusion?” Grandpapi asked. “You can’t compete with Blood Moon mates born minutes apart surely?” Dad argued, twirling a strand of my mum’s long black hair in his fingers. “Urgh, please. You are going to make me stick my fork in my eyes just so I don’t have to watch this lovefest any longer,” Ilaria grumbled under her breath. My sister. The black soul. Good luck to whoever her soulmate was out there. They were in for quite a wild ride. “I see that brutish teddy bear Ronnie hasn’t managed to soften your icy heart yet,” Leif teased as she sent him a hostile glare and her middle finger. My instant protectiveness of my sister sparked at the mention of that human’s name. It was clear I wasn’t the only male at the table who felt that way as my dad’s broad shoulders tensed and my grandpapi’s eyes flashed red. It wasn’t that Ronnie was a bad bloke. It didn’t matter who he was. He could be anyone. We would always be protective of Ilaria. She was the baby of the family. One that could bite you with her razor-sharp fangs or wound your pride with her sharp tongue, but still the baby. “More wine?” Grandma Maddy stood up quickly, filling everyone’s glasses as a distraction. “Session tomorrow Lorcan? Darius is coming by too, so I want you to beat his ass,” Pops Logan directed his question at me from across the table and I nodded with my mouth full. Even though we were triplets and extremely close, we were different species and it showed in which family members we connected with the most. Ilaria was closer to our Grandpapi Arius and Uncle Raiden because of her vampire side. Leif was a mummy’s boy. And I was extremely close to my dad, and grandparents, Alina and Logan, because they were all pure-blood wolves. I have been training with my Pops in MMA fighting since I could walk. “I might have to come along just to watch that,” Grandpapi chuckled, enjoying the thought of me owning his best friend's ass in the ring. “What about you, Leif? Fancy coming down to the gym tomorrow?” Pops asked as Leif chewed his food. “I did plan on working on my summer bod this year but… then I remembered I like food, s*x and sleep more than the gym,” Leif smiled, tucking into his dinner with urgency. “Plus, I have been blessed with incredible genes, so… what’s the point in exerting myself?” “He means… what is the point in making himself look and feel any better, because he already gets everything and anyone he wants,” I paraphrased. “Spot on, bro. Good for you though, for creating the finest body of muscle to share with no one—you are really making the most of it.” It was my turn to send him a rude gesture. When we had finished eating, the palace omegas silently cleared our plates as I leaned back in my chair. It didn’t go unnoticed when the pretty brunette leaned right over my shoulder to lift my plate, causing her t**s to press against me. ‘Look at them! Good enough to motorboat,’ Typhon didn’t waste any time commenting. I shifted my shoulder and glanced up at her face that was already giving my sultry vibes. She'd been relentlessly flirting with me for weeks around the palace. Quickly, I removed my gaze, not wanting to give her any impression that I was interested in what she had in mind and my eyes found Leif’s amused ones. He winked at me as she left. “Mum, I heard you are going to wake Kafele tomorrow?” I tried to redirect everyone’s attention. “Yes, I am. It’s time. His body has had as much rest as it needs—so now it will just be a case of—if it was all enough.” “I am sure it was,” Ilaria added. “I am going to come by and be a support for Neve. You know… just in case.” “That’s a good idea, sweetie,” Mum smiled. Suddenly, the door to the grand dining room opened wide and the bulky body and long curly black hair of my uncle Raiden came bulldozing into the room. His mate, Sienna, was under his arm, half his size but still with a powerful presence that filled the entire room and made the air shift around us. I smiled as I watched them greet everyone individually. They were the ultimate power couple and suited each other perfectly. “How is your father, Sienna?” Mum asked as they took their seats next to Leif. “Awake. Confused. But healthy and happy,” she smiled, her amber eyes peering up at Raiden with genuine delight. “So I take it he accepted you for his daughter then?” I smirked at my uncle as he leaned back in his chair, that cocky smile on his face and silver eyes twinkling. “Of course he did. Why wouldn’t he?” “He definitely gave you a grilling though,” Sienna chuckled. “I think it was the first time I have seen Raiden’s hands physically shaking. He was so nervous.” We all burst out laughing at the image of this almighty tribrid trembling at having to face his mate’s human father. “Hey! I wanted to make a good impression. Nothing wrong with that!” He defended himself, as my grandma Maddy placed her hand over her heart. “No, son. There is nothing wrong with that at all.” The evening continued as it always did with my family. Laughter, banter and playful bickering. When the weekly family meal was over, my grandparents left the palace for their own homes, leaving us triplets, Raiden, Sienna and my parents. We moved to the living room, talked and drank some more until I stretched out and yawned against the sofa. “Right. I am hitting the sack. Early start with Pops tomorrow and I need to go find my MMA kit,” I stood up, walking over to my mum and giving her a kiss on her cheek. “Night, love. I think it’s in the laundry room. The omegas took a pile of your stuff earlier,” she replied. I headed towards the small room off the side of the kitchen and started rifling through the piles of clean clothes for my workout gear. The door swung open and then clicked shut as I quickly spun around to see the omega from dinner leaning against the door, biting her lower lip. “Prince Lorcan. Can I help you with anything?” she asked seductively, her brown eyes taking in my tall, ripped physique with appreciation. ‘Yes. Yes, she can help us by getting on her knees and-’ “No. Thanks. I have found what I was looking for,” I lifted the clothes with a smile and made my way towards the door. She didn’t move. Instead, her hands reached up to her shirt, slowly undoing her buttons to reveal her very large and tempting breasts. “Are you sure? I am more than happy to help you in any way I can, my Prince,” she smiled sweetly as her shirt fell open and I clenched my jaw. ‘She is offering those t**s on a plate! Among other things! Don’t be a p*ssy and f*ck one instead!’ Typhon growled, his own insatiable urges powering through me and making my d*ck harden as I closed my eyes to hold onto my control. Her small hand found its way into my trousers as she pushed her body up against mine. A deep growl came from my chest and my eyes snapped open as she started running her hand up and down my length. She gasped and then moaned when she saw my eyes glow gold with Typhon’s power, which only seemed to turn her on more. She had no idea who she was dealing with. As Typhon started to take control of my human form, my hand grabbed at her throat aggressively and I slammed her against the door, my lips smashing against hers. My other hand ripped her small skirt up to her waist destructively, tore her thong off and delved two fingers into her warm p*ssy. She gasped as her eyes rolled back into her head. My mind had hazed, full of only my wolf’s red-hot lust and angry urges. ‘Yes! Let’s show this little omega who her Alpha is.’ I jumped away from her, using all my strength to push my wolf down, and removed her hand from my jeans. She stared up at me, her lustful eyes swarming with confusion and panting hard. “I can’t,” I growled. Forcing her out of the way, I opened the door and bolted out into the gardens, inhaling the fresh evening air to calm me. “Lorcan? You alright?” I turned to see Raiden following me outside and watching me closely with his silver eyes that shone like the moon. I shook my head, unable to talk yet, as Typhon fought me for control so he could storm back in there and have his wicked way with that girl. I collapsed onto the stone steps, running my hands through my hair and sighing deeply. Raiden came to sit next to me in silence. “I don’t know how long I can keep fighting him,” I admitted after a few minutes. “Who?” Raiden asked. “My wolf. He is a f*cking maniac.” Raiden burst out laughing and my head snapped up to glare at him to show him I was being deadly serious. He raised his hands in apology. “Sorry. But all our wolves are insane. It kind of comes with the territory of being one of the most powerful wolves in the world. Try sharing your head with an Alpha wolf and a blood-thirsty demon. Now that is enough to drive you crazy.” “Bet they aren’t trying to make you hump everything in sight.” “Hmmm, not anymore. We have our mate now. They’ve calmed down. Don’t worry, Lorcan. It will be the same when you find yours.” I wasn’t so sure. What if I couldn’t even control him around her? What if he terrified her? “I pray to the Goddess that I find her soon because I don’t know how much more of his relentless horny commentary I can take. Can I ask you a question?” He turned to give me his full attention as I clasped my hands together over my knees. “Sure. Can’t promise I’ll have the answer.” I nodded. “Do you trust them? Your counterparts?” His face scrunched up and he rubbed his chin, “I mean... I don’t always agree with them or what they want, but ultimately, I trust them. Yes. They are a part of me, so I guess I wouldn’t trust myself if I didn’t.” I nodded, inhaling deeply at the growing concern his answer gave me. “Why? Do you not trust Typhon?” “No,” I shook my head. ‘Charming.’ “I can’t explain it. He is almost too powerful in every way. Yes, he is an incredible wolf but…” ‘A compliment? I never thought I’d see the day.’ Raiden nodded, “Yeah, I know. In a few years, I am pretty sure he will be more powerful than Sirius and we are a tribrid so that is saying something.” ‘Already am more powerful than that silver-haired f*ck. Shift. I’ll tear his ass a new one.’ “But…” I continued, trying my best to ignore Typhon. “It’s like he was created for something far more than this life. Like he is growing in anger, strength, arousal, power… just everything all the time. Every day that passes, he grows stronger and it is becoming harder to ignore him.” “Then maybe you should stop trying to ignore him and give in a little. Meet him halfway,” Raiden advised, and I scoffed. “That’s the problem. He doesn’t have a halfway point. And I am terrified of what will happen if I give him full control in a moment of weakness. You already know I am not allowed to train at the Academy because of his power. I would end up seriously hurting the students. The members of this family are the only ones who can handle him. And when it comes to women…” “Let me guess. He wants to dominate.” I nodded, lifting my head and staring up at the moon. “Trust me. I’ve tried to give into those urges. I have… tried stuff with girls a few times to see how far I can go before he takes control and I have to back off. It never lasts long. He is f*cking scary, Raiden. And I don’t want to hurt anyone. I am a Romano-Black Prince, heir to the Blood Moon Pack and next in line King. I can't let anyone down.” I could feel Raiden’s gaze on the side of my face as I stared desperately up at the moon for some answers. I wasn’t like my siblings. I had responsibilities and I knew what my future looked like. I couldn’t go around f*cking anyone I wanted like Leif, or losing my sh*t with people who crossed me like Ilaria. I had to be the image of our future. The Wolf Prince who would one day lead the largest pack in the world. There was no room for error. “A little advice, Lorcan. You don’t have to take it,” he said seriously, as I turned to look at him. I would take anything at this point. “Give yourself a break. Just a little. I know you feel the weight of the world on your shoulders and think you have to be the golden boy and live up to everyone’s expectations all the time, but there really is no fun in that. I know how you feel. I used to feel that way too. I know what a burden it can be to be so powerful and have the whole world watching your every move, but you'd be a lot happier if you just said… f*ck it.” ‘Yeah. F*ck it. F*ck them. F*ck the omega. F*ck the poodle. It will make you happy Lorcan,’ Typhon chuckled as I stared into Raiden’s eyes. He gripped my shoulder with a smile and I returned it, nodding. “Thanks Raid.” “Anytime,” he stood up and walked back inside. Yeah. He didn’t understand. No one did. ‘No one except me, Princey,’ Typhon giggled. ‘Two peas in a pod.’
