April's Point Of View, I mind linked Charlie to let him know that Alex had gone up to bed.  He decided to patrol the borders on the furthest side of the land first, before working his way around the territory to the pack house.  He'd shift back into his human form before patrolling on Alex's side of the house.  That way he wouldn't risk her seeing him as a Wolf, and giving her a heart attack.    I suspected that once he'd finished patrolling he would spend the night as close to Alex as possible.  When I mind linked him I noticed there was an almost possessive tone to his thoughts.  Alex belonged to Charlie, and whether that would work as a relationship in the long term didn't matter.  He'd follow her to the ends of the earth.  He loved her already.  I finished up our conversation and join
