I get into the car with Rex seated next to me, contemplating how Atlas must have sensed my need for protection against Mae. Little did Atlas know, I also required safeguarding from Ash, who turned out to be a formidable player. She had trapped me with a magical seal, preventing me from divulging the truth to anyone. Though I could expose Mae's wrongdoings to Oscar at the right moment, I decided to keep him in the dark until after his wedding.
"Stay away from Alpha Atlas," Rex cautioned, breaking the silence. I glanced at him, puzzled by the assumption that I was somehow connected to Atlas. Why did everyone seem to think that? I couldn't fathom.
