Weekends was my favorite time, all because I could just be around people who knew me and didn't have to suffer been in the shadows. However, it was a nightmare when our families met to catch up. Just like now I keep getting teased about Xander. I honestly didn't know our family knew about my crush. Our moms seem to be planning a wedding I dunno about. I have had a crush on him since I hit puberty.

I was sitting in the corner of the living room, when Xander walked in arguing with Miguel about God knows what . Miguel saw me and his face brighten up, he rushed to give me a big hug.

"Mya! I missed you." he said as he hugged me. When he pulled away he looked at Xander and said " please tell this think headed boy that Werewolves are real and they live among us" I giggled as his cousin responded.

"Mya please tell him that his not five anymore and those are just stories" now this is when the problem starts. 

Miguel and I watch a lot of supernatural movies and series when we are together, we go the whole comic mile while we are at it. I mean we have been collecting comics since we learned how to save money in our piggy bank. At first it was all three of us but I guess Xander is too cool now to take part in our childish interests. So a huge part of me is totally supporting bestie number one. And there is problem number two, where I feel if I support Xander, he will atleast start to notice that I have this crush and maybe I am the girl for him. I mean I think I need to put in more effort if his going to notice me.

I only snapped out of it when I heard Summer say "......there she goes daydreaming about him again"

"no I was just...." I said shyly. " umm you two should sort that out alone" I stole a glance at Miguel who didn't look too pleased with my answer and then at Xander who had a smirk. I got up and decided to sit with May and Summer. 

"why don't you just tell him?" my sister asked.

"I can't May. I always make a fool out of myself when I am around him."

Summer made a face "its just him.." she said looking at him "you guys grew up together. I don't think it would be that hard to do so."

"guys look at him. His like sooooooo...... and I am just plain Jane. He doesn't even see me at all. Can we please talk about something else." 

The rest of the afternoon went by okay with a little teasing here and there about all the kids. So many embarrassing baby stories by the way.

On Monday, Miguel was pretty mad at me. He gave me a good speech about how I choose to hide the amazing me in the name of been noticed by a guy. Lets just say that his not for the whole idea of my crush. he thinks that his cousin isn't worth it unless he sees something that will make him worthy of my love and attention. As a way of ending the whole I just keep quite and let him just speak his mind.

As the week went by, I found myself staring at him. Everytime he looked my way I would act like I wasn't. I also tried to make sure Miguel didn't see me. He was kind of acting strange too.

I was walking down the corridor when I saw him with his "cool" friends, it was times like this when I wondered if he was really the same guy I liked or he was a different person. His arm was wrapped around the head cheerleader. Cliché I told you, superstar sports guy and head cheerleader, yep.  I was just about to pass when the next thing I saw was the floor followed by alot of people laughing.  When I got up and looked at the small group of "cool" kids laughing and no one to help including my so called best friend. Bailey(queenbee) said,  "ooopppps. I didn't see you there."

"really Bailey. Even for you that's a low amateur move. " now I'm not one to not speak my mind.

"are you talking to me?" the group went silent and waiting to see what would happen next.

"aren't you the one who pushed me? Just leave me alone." I turned to walk away when I heard something I shouldn't.

"I don't know how you can handle been around her. If your parents didn't force you to remain friends with her then maybe you wouldn't have to deal with her. Isn't she the one you told me about  babe.... The one who peed on her bed till she was 13 " the rest of the group joined laughing.

I turned around to look at the one person who knew about that part of my life. He couldn't even meet my eyes. I turned around and ran out of shame. I didn't know where I was going until someone held my arm. Miguel pulled me to him and let me cry on his shoulder.

"wwwhy would he tell them that? " I said through tears.

"it's okay. His an a**hole. I'm sorry."

When I was younger, I was contracted an infection. This caused me to have a problem with my bladder, it went on for some time. Let's just say I learned to get things under control when I was in my teenage years. The only people who knew about it were my family of course and the Mendez family, well now the whole school knew.

It's been a few months and I am still hurt by what Xander did. I've been ignoring him as he begs for forgiveness and attention. I think the family has noticed that and have given up asking why I ignore him. Everytime I see him I change direction, I've not seen him really out with his friends since it happened. I was extremely disappointed in him. Miguel actually got into a fight with him, his not one for violence but that day I saw him punch Xander. I feel bad that I'm the reason the two brothers are not in good terms. But I still feel happy that I get

I got a text from Miguel to meet him by the park. When I got there he wasn't there, I tried to call but the phone was off. I decided to sit on our usual bench to wait a few minutes and if he doesn't show up then I would have to give him a piece of my mind for keeping waiting and also making me leave the house when I was enjoying my movies.

I felt a weight on the bench, only to find no other than Xander sitting next to me.
