“How did you manage the pain?”. Lucy got super surprised by the question.
“How did you know about that?” She asked me back.
“Well, technically I asked the question first, but since I am nice, I will answer you first. Isn’t it obvious, Lucy? I grew up in the pack for 18 years. I know stuff and I heard stuff from others. I have heard someone said that after a wolf found the mate, one will suffer from an incredible pain if the other makes love to someone else. They said it is one way to keep the purity in the bond, but it seems so unfair. Why does the other person have to suffer, while the one doing the cheating is spared? It sounds like a bad job, doesn’t it? I have never seen a single person suffering from that pain so far, but when I saw you yesterday, I understood. All
