It took another two weeks before I was able to sit up and hold her with my own strength. Aris would come by my room every day and help me with holding her, so Catalina helped me time it perfectly that he entered the room when I already had her in my arms. He looked about as proud as I felt, and his worries about me seemed to lessen. I was pulling through, even after everything that had happened.  Regaining my strengths was a slow process.
