Selene had to spend most of our playdate running after her son. Unsurprisingly, he was the first to completely tap out and become cranky and tired beyond reasoning. She apologised over a dozen times as I walked them to the front door, but I kept telling her it was alright.  “That was a rude awakening.” Kamaria said when I returned to the sitting room. “Suddenly I am a lot more thankful that Kija can’t walk yet.” I laughed and sat back down. Laureen had come and picked up Eleanor a while ago, so she could sleep in her own room as Rafael’s running and falling kept waking her up.
