The door was kicked open by a vampire girl, who wasted no time and jumped down the stairs onto Aris. She tried to rip open his neck with her fangs, but Aris hadn’t been able to keep his balance from her impact. I narrowly dodged to the side as my mate and the girl fell down the stairs.
A movement caught my eye and I watched with dread as a wolf appeared at the top of the staircase. Aris couldn’t save me now and my skill set when it came with wolves was to hide away from them, which wasn’t really something I could do on a narrow staircase. The wolf had brown and grey fur, though judging by his size he is probably not an alpha. He brought his head to the ground, closely followed by his shoulders too. Once again, I recognized the movement.
