There was only one part of the west wing that gave me some connection to the rest of the castle, which was its large library. I had avoided it most of the time, as it was usually filled with the vampiric scholars and the most boring of the werewolves, neither of which wanted anything to do with me. In a way, I really preferred the quiet places that didn’t have any people. I could just inspect things without anyone judging or looking at me.  Today I was too bored.
