A few days ago, I challenged Gabriel openly, and that same evening I had dinner with Luke. As always Luke listened to the events of my day and expressed his support for what I had done, but he looked a little upset.
"Gabriel, why does it always involve that dead thing." He muttered softly.
"Luke, you don't have to worry. I'm not going to run back to him and be with him again." I smiled at his expression.
"I believe you, you know that," Luke said as he carefully cut the steak on his plate into small pieces and swapped our plates. These well-thought-out, gentle, and loving gestures warmed my heart every time.
