Chapter Six

"Oh, really? I bet it was peaceful and relaxing too." Levi muttered. The both of them were having a random conversation earlier. Until they ended up talking about Sandy's hometown, she'd missed it there. It's been a year since the last time she saw her family. " Yeah, it's just a small town but with people who have good hearts." Cheska left them after they both settled into one of the farm's hut. She was glad to meet some people in the villa who could talk to her casually. "That's great, how was your family then?" Levi looked at her expression which just suddenly saddened. She missed her parents so much, but she couldn't bring herself to ask her husband to visit them. Sandy just doesn't have the guts to do so, Alexander has been busy and she couldn't get a chance to talk to him about outside matters. "Well, I hope they are fine. It's been a year since I last saw them. I really missed my parents," She just realized her longing towards them. 'How could I not notice it? I've been staying with him for a year, but I forgot to visit my parents.' Perhaps she was too focused on Alexander, he always had her attention. " I'm sorry about that, I didn't mean to mention them. But may I ask why? I mean, one year was pretty long. Have you not visited them?" She wished she could do it easily. Now she slowly realized how obedient she was towards Alexander. But Sandy started to get curious if she was still doing the right thing for herself. It seemed like she had been submitting to her husband fully. " Cool, the sun's rays are calm now. Would you like to wander around the farm? The breeze will help you relax and enjoy the scenery," Levi muttered again after he had noticed that she's been muted. He noticed everything, something was off and mysterious. But there was one thing that puzzled his mind, why Amara didn't know him earlier? It seemed like it was the first time she saw him. When in fact, they had met accidentally before. She was in the garden when he came behind her to watered the plants. It's where he met him. "That would be nice, let's go then." He led the way and Sandy followed him in silence. Both of them were busy looking around, the chilly breeze, the sun's warm rays and the green fields. It's the kind of place she would like to spend time with. But she was confused about herself, somehow she felt like something had been missing her. There was this void where she couldn't recognize where it was coming from. Once her peaceful and fairy tale life was starting to collapse. "Ouch-!" "I got you, please be careful next time. You're spacing out, now you have bruises on your knees." Fortunately, Levi had quickly held her arms before she could drop off the ground. She silently groaned from the stinging pain of her knees. "I didn't notice that there was a stone, but I'm fine. This is just a small cut, it will bleed shortly. Then it will be fine," he still held Sandy's arms back in the hut. She walked carefully not to stretch out her knees, there was blood in it slowly coming out. " Wait here, I'll get some first aid kit. Don't try to move, okay? "Levi muttered and stormed out of her sight. She was left alone sighing and trying to see the bruises of her knees. It's not that deep, but will surely be clear enough to be noticeable. Especially when her knees now are swollen, it's getting red. " Here, drink this water. I'll start cleaning your wounds, is that okay?" The man was still catching his breath, she stared at him for a moment and nodded her head afterwards.' He was just worried, there's nothing with those caring eyes. ' She scolded herself and bit her lips from the pain. " You're good at this, are you a doctor?" She started when she noticed the awkwardness. He was holding her ankle and cleaning her bruises. Surely, her face was now red from the embarrassment. No one had touched her beside her husband. " Was that a guess? If it was, then you're also good at guessing, yeah. I'm an internist." He answered while smiling. He continued to treat her bruises and focused afterwards. Sandy was impressed by him, she didn't imagine a specialist would be staying in the farm. " But why are you here? I mean, you're taking a day off or a vacation? " The man stopped. He takes another cotton ball and looks at her. "This will sting, hold on for a moment." Then he mixes some antiseptic before dipping it slowly into her wound. One again, she groaned and bit her lips. "There you go, all cleaned. Don't try to sprint or move quickly, alright?" She nodded her head obediently. Levi gestured her hands to hers. Which she confusingly took without hesitation. "Ah, where are we going?" "Back to the villa, woman. It's getting dark in case you noticed. And you needed to rest, get some good sleep later. You look exhausted," He touched her hair and both of them went on their way back to the house. "But you didn't answer my question yet, why are you here doctor?" Sandy stopped walking and so did Levi. He sighed and looked at her and took a handkerchief out of his pocket. Her head was sweating, she didn't notice it. "Cheska's mother was my patient a long time ago. I've been visiting her since she was discharged from the hospital," He answered after wiping her sweat, he took her arms back and pulled her closer. Sandy admitted that he was really charming, sometimes she couldn't help but to be stunned with his cares. 'This isn't right, get a grip on yourself Sandy!' " Oh, that is why then. You know what, let's get going. It's getting dark now, I have noticed." She quickly took her arms away and began to walk ahead of him. Levi just chuckled and followed her afterwards.
