“Wait,” Greg shouted before she could take it off. “Maybe we should, I don’t know, give you some space or something,” he said uncertainly. “We have no idea what will happen when you take the necklace off.”
“I’m with Greg on this one,” Finn said, glancing down at Lily’s rounded stomach nervously. “Maybe we should just move to the other side of the room in case.”
“You guys are being ridiculous,” Liam said dryly. “She’s not about to explode or anything.”
“It’s okay. I’ll move,” Charlotte sighed, standing up from the couch and walking to the open plan kitchen. “If I spontaneously combust, just remember that I want my gravestone to read ‘too hot to live’,” she called out over her shoulder.
Surprised sniggers came from behind her, but Greg scolded her by saying, “That’s not funny.”
