Chapter 3

Her mouth dropped open as she looked at me with hunger. “HOLY s**t! OH, MY GODDESS! AAAAAHHHH!” My mother was screeching with excitement. As Queen Ember moved towards me, her eyes raked up and down my body. It was doing things to me. My body slowly moved towards her as I felt the strongest desire to claim her lips. She had black lipstick on and as she bit her bottom lip, I could feel my body heating with desire. I finally snapped to reality once she was in my arms. She wrapped her arms around my neck and smiled up at me. “Hey handsome.” Her smile was nothing I had ever seen in my life. My nose instinctually went to her neck and I could smell her mouthwatering scent. She smelled like fresh burnt wood. My eyes flew open. “You’re a Dragon?” Looking into her eyes, I saw uncertainty for a moment. “I am a Phoenix Dragon.” I pulled her closer. “I have a really odd request.” She looked at me worried. “What’s up?” The way her lips formed the P had me mesmerized. Snapping her fingers, she pulled my attention back. “Can you come with me to meet my brothers?” “Yes, it’s Damon and Emmit, right? You are the triplets?” She asked curiously. “Yes, you have heard of us?” Now I was curious. “I have been friends with your mom for a really long time,” she pointed out. I knew Dragons were almost immortal. They could live thousands of years if they were to die of old age. Rather than being rude, I avoided asking her how old she really was. It wouldn’t matter anyway. Throughout our conversation we had been walking over to a different area. Emmit and Damon were sitting there talking with other people. Some girl was busy flirting away with Damon. “Emmit, Damon, I would like you to meet my mate, Queen Ember.” They half bowed and Damon came up to her first. “You surely are beautiful.” He kissed the back of her hand. I had to work hard to hold back my growl. “What Kingdom do you reign over?” I glared at him. It could be seen as rude and intrusive to ask such questions of a royal, but of course, Damon was going to be that person. “I am Queen of the Dragons.” I didn’t see any hint of offense in her eyes, more like curiosity. Damon stepped back when Emmit tapped him on the shoulder. “Hello your highness, it is a pleasure to meet you. I am Emmit.” He too kissed the back of her hand. “It is lovely to meet you, Emmit.” She smiled graciously. I searched each of their eyes for the answer to my riddle. They portrayed nothing. Frustratingly, I started to walk away with Ember. “Hey, Alexander, can I talk with you just a second?” Emmit asked. c*****g my brow at him, he gave me a stern look. “I apologize, but this requires my immediate attention.” “And that’s where I come in. Have you been given a tour yet, Milady?” She shook her head in response. “Lets head over this way and I shall begin your tour.” Damon came in and swooped up all her attention. Once she was far away enough, I turned my attention to Emmit. “What’s up?” “I know why you brought her over here. Mom had similar conversations with Damon and I. I just wanted to let you know, she is not mine nor Damon’s mate.” Releasing my breath, I let out a sigh. Emmit laughed at me. “We aren’t that bad!” “I just didn’t want to have to share her either.” Looking in the direction Damon had taken her, I felt my gut twisting. We needed to get back to her. “Go get her,” Emmit smiled at me. With poise and grace, I headed in the direction Damon had taken her. Searching the halls, I found him giving her a speech outside the garden walls. He loved to tell everyone about how strong he was as a pup. He was able to climb the walls without any help at 8 years old. It was annoying, but every time he told it, the story always got grander and grander. “Are you telling my mate about your conquests again?” I laughed. Damon laughed. “You’re just jealous.” “Nope, just want to make sure you aren’t going to scare her away.” “With that milady, I shall depart.” He again kissed the back of her hand. This time, the growl slipped from my lips. She looked up at me with eyes that spoke of so many emotions, but I couldn’t pick up on them fast enough. I don’t think either of us knew when Damon vanished from around us. We were too consumed in each other’s eyes. Her eyes kept moving from my lips to my eyes. My waist had her arms wrapped around it. It was perfection. As we continued to look at one another in silence, I could see her eyes starting to glow a deeper read. Mine were glowing as my wolf took a good look at her. As she brushed my lips, I could feel the heat of her breath. It was unusually hot, but it had my body erupting in goosebumps. Her lips brushed mine and awakened something in me I didn’t know was there. An insatiable hunger. My tongue begged to taste her beautiful body. My hands ran along her sides and up to her neck. My canines were itching to bite into her neck. Her moans became soft and innocent at first. As our kiss deepened, so did her needs. The air around us was thick with heat and the smell of her arousal. It was intoxicating. I can’t honestly say how we made it up to my room, but we did. My thoughts and all of my attention were on her. Pulling away, I checked and saw my door was shut and locked. Turning back, I looked at her as she had already undressed herself. She was standing at the foot of my bed when she made a motion and her dragon’s wings came out. Seeing her there naked with her wings out was like looking at a Goddess. Her beauty would never compare to another’s. Motioning to come to her with her finger, I was obliged. As I neared her, she laid down on the bed with her wings spread out. Never in my life did I think I would see such a sight before me. It was breathtaking. It was mindboggling. It was addictive. Leaning over her, I ran kisses from her cheek down to her neck. Inhaling her scent had my body going into overdrive. Her eyes are my temples and her body is my addiction.
