My confession to Killian was sincere but it sounded lame to my ears the moment he stood up and left the swimming room immediately.
I kept wondering what could have gone wrong to make him avoid me like that for the past few hours. I don't even have any idea where he is.
"Esmeralda, what are you doing there?" I heard Nela's voice from behind and I turned to look back slowly.
“Nothing much, just taking a stroll” I replied quickly and she hurried to walk beside me.
“Isn’t it nice? Walking together hand in hand like this?” she mouthed as she entwined her hands with mine.
