Chapter Four

Yasmin P.O.V

Really, he wants to be my friend, so ridiculous, being brought out of my thought when I heard Lin's voice

"Who is ridiculous?" Lin asked sitting beside me on the sofa

"Oh don't mind me, one guy walks to me this afternoon and said he wants to be my friend, he is also the psycho I told you about that follow me to the bathroom the other day," I said

She asked me about it and I explain everything to her from the time he follows me to the bathroom and said that I am his baby doll till when he told me he wants to be my friend.

"Then what is your reply to him," She asked

"I did not say anything I just walk away from him"

"You are the one that is ridiculous" She looks serious as if she is my mother giving me a lecture

"Why Lin?"

"At least you will give him a chance to let him talk and at least ask of his name," She said

"Chance to say what, he told me his name, he said his name is Alexander Romano CEO of Rom Construction Company," I said but she looks surprised or maybe shocked.

"Are you for real, you mean Alexander Romano, one of the richest men in Italy? The CEO of Rom Construction Company" She started laughing and pressing her phone later she shows me the picture of Alexander "Is this the guy you are talking about" I won't be surprised if she knows him because she is a socialite person.

"Yes" I reply

"Haaaaaaa, my stupid friend, you miss, don't you know him" I shake my head negatively. "Well let me tell you he is one of the youngest billionaires in Italy and he has Company in some part of the country"

"And so, what is my own problem with that?" I said

"Your problem in that is you will give him a chance and let him say what he wants to say," She said looking at me as if she will kill me if I said no

"Ohhhhh, sorry to disappoint you, my dear friend, I don't even have his number or how to contact him, how will I give him a chance?" I run inside my room as soon as I said that because I can see that her face has changed, I know that she will smack me if I stay any longer.

When I get inside my room I can hear her screaming my name, I ignore her and went inside the bathroom to do my night routine and change into my pyjama, I come back to the living room and find Lin preparing the table to eat but she just ignores me, I think this friend of mine wants to push me out to get a boyfriend. After we finish eating Lin sit down beside me and hold my hand.

"Yaz don't think I want to push you to him because he is a billionaire or anything at least give him a chance to talk, you don't know maybe he will be different from your other ex-boyfriends and you could at least talk to him politely not walk away from him, not all the people want to make fun of you, he saw you wearing your hijab before he approaches you, he may be different," She said still holding my hand

I feel guilty after what she said, am I too rude to him? It is just that I don't want another break up again in my life and I don't want people insulting me again because I am a Muslim.

"I am sorry," I said to her because I don't know what to say.

"I am not the one you will say sorry to, it is the guy you will apologize to, but I think it is too late, no problem but next time if you want to reject someone do it politely" She comes toward me and hugs me.

One week after our discussion, today is weekend, I and Lin are going out for shopping and having fun that is what she said, this is the reason why I don't like to spend the weekend with her because she always go out and by the end of the day, I will be so tired. We went out and go shopping like bags, shoes, clothes, and groceries. My phone rings and I check the caller but it is an unknown number and Lin is beside me she said I should answer it

"Hello gorgeous," The person on the other side said

"Hi, please who am I speaking with?" Lin signal me to put it on speaker so she can hear the person is saying since I don't know the person

"I am Alexander, how are you? Did you remember me?" Lin look surprised and signal with her hand that I should talk to him and apologize

"I am good, please I am sorry for been rude to you the other day," I said

"No problem," He said

ALEXANDER P.O.V

I debating on calling my baby doll maybe she will talk to me, since that the last time I talk to her I can't stop thinking of her.

Ring………Ring……..Ring…… she picks up after 3 rings

"Hello gorgeous" Haaaa I slap my mouth playfully for calling her that now what if she hangs up.

"Hi, Please who am I speaking with?" She asked

"I am Alexander, I am the one that talks to you in front of your workplace, how are you?" I am praying inside my mind for her not to hang up,  I don’t know the right word for myself right now, because I never pray to God to ask for something, now just because of a girl am praying.

"I am good, please I am sorry for been rude to you the other day" She said and I am so surprised because she apologize and it is clear in her voice that she is sincere, haaaa first step cleared.

"No problem"

"How are you doing?" I don't know what to say or ask.

"I am fine and you?" She is asking about me I stand up and throw my fist in the air.

"Can I ask favor from you? " I asked her and she said yes "I will like to see you" I hope she did not say no

"hmm ….. OK" she said but the way she said ok is different maybe she scared.

"What about today?" I asked her

"I am sorry but I am not free today, I am with my friend today," She said wait is the friend a girl or boy, I can't ask her, or maybe her roommate "Maybe tomorrow if you don't mind" Her voice brought out of my thought why will I mind.

"Thanks, baby do…… I mean thanks I will text the address and time to you" I already call her baby doll until I realize what I said.

"Ok bye I have to go now," She said

"Bye" I hang up the call with a smile plastered on my face

Immediately made a reservation for VIP in the best restaurant in New York, what else, ok I should get a gift for her, I should buy jewelry, NO, maybe I should get flowers at least for the first time. I don't know her favorite flower.

YASMIN P.O.V.

"Lin, why did you do that," I ask her because while Alexander is talking to me I don't know what to say when he told me he wants to meet me, she snatched the phone from me and said Ok.

"I don't want you to turn him down because I know you very well," She said pulling me to the car to head to next place.

"Why will I meet him, don't you think it is too early for that, what if he is kidnapper, murderer, or rapi….." She hit me at the back of my head before I finish talking.

"Will you stop all your negative thought at least go and see him and hear what he want to say"

"Ok ok ok, I will go, now start the car and let's go I still want to go local market," I said trying to change the topic.

"What did you want to get from the market?" She asked

"Some materials to make cloth for myself, I saw one style online and I like it"

"Ok, I will also get some material I have some design also that I want you to make for me," She said focusing on driving.

"Ok," I said but after some minutes later she talks again.

"Yaz, why don't you focus on this fashion designing business, all the cloth you make for me and yourself are very nice, I won't deceive you, even some times if I wear one of the cloth out some people ask me where I get them from but I always tell them names of any shop that comes to my mind at that moment since you said you don't want to do it," She said the time for another lecture.

"No, I don't want, what if it is not nice or nobody buys it," I said

"Don't say that, have you try it and nobody buys it, at least give it a try, even you can make its online business and upload your work there and they will order for it and see if they want it or not?" She said

"I don't know but I will think of it later," I said try to convince her to stop this lecture.

"I trust you and promise you that you will be the best and you will have a lot of customers" She parked in front of the market.

"Ok, I will think about it, thanks for trusting me my dear friend, I love you so much" I stop in front of her as soon as she comes down from the car and gave her a long kiss on her cheek.

"Whew too gross Yaz, don't love me, go and find a boyfriend that you will love and he will love you and give him kiss" She goes back inside the car and rub her cheek with tissue paper.

"Ok Miss Lecturer, no lecture this time please" I move away from her, or else she will continue the lecture.

By the time we finish everything, it is already 4 pm, we head home and prepare dinner, we eat and watch some movies to relax by the time we finish the third movie is already 2 to 3 am, so we head to our room and sleep.
