Alena
The night had been great, more than great. It has been amazing! And we weren’t even done. We were in the club now, and all drink more than we need. I am sure we will suffer for it tomorrow, but you only get engaged once. Well, I hope, anyway.
“Um, Alena I think you better hurry and rescue your man,” Maddie said as we came back from the bathroom.
I looked over, confused, but I soon saw what she was talking about. There was some woman with Ryker, standing a little to close, trying to touch him and whispering to him. Ryker, however, did not look interested, he looked annoyed and uncomfortable. He must have felt me looking because he looked up, mouthing help to me. I giggled even though I probably shouldn’t be. It would be different if he seemed interested, but he doesn’t. I don’t appreciate her hitting on my man, though.
I headed over, and as I did, I hear her speak.
“She will never know,” She purrs.
“Know she will, actually,” I said from behind her.
She turned to face me, looking me up and down. She was gorgeous, and things like that used to bother me, not now though.
“Who the hell are you?” She spoke.
“My future wife,” Ryker said, taking his place next to me.
He wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me close.
“That is your future wife?” She said, disgusted, “Why? I am sure you can do better,” She added.
Again, if someone said that to me a month ago, it would have got to me. Not anymore, I was done with letting people bring me down. I know what many people think about Ryker’s choice on the woman he will settle down with. And I don’t care.
“I have the best, thanks,” Ryker said, proudly.
“It will not last,” She laughed.
I pulled away from Ryker, stepping closer to her.
“I will say this once, and once only,” I said, “Get to f**k. And stay away from my man. He doesn’t want you. He will never want you. We are getting married, and you or anyone else isn’t going to change that,” I added.
She went to say something, but I wasn’t going to allow that.
“Bye now,” I said, standing my ground.
She rolled her eyes and walked away. Good riddance to the b***h. God, why do us women bring each other down so much? It shouldn’t be that way. We should be building each other up. We deal with enough, never mind turning on each other.
Ryker slips his arms around me from behind, kissing my neck.
“It is bad that I am so turned on right now,” He chuckled in my ear.
Trust Ryker, getting turned on by something like that. I laughed, turning to face, and slipped my arms around his neck.
“And what part of that turned you on?” I asked.
“The part where you claimed your man,” He said, letting his hands slide down to my ass.
“You like that, uh?” I smirked.
“Mmm, I do,” He said, pulling me closer.
I moaned, pressing my lips to his, and he groaned into my lips.
“Do you want to get out of here? Have a more private celebration?” He asked, running his lips along my jawline.
I decided I could use all of this to my advantage.
“Nope! We are out with friends, your horniness will need to wait,” I said, pulling away from him.
“Alena!” He whined.
“You will get over it, and I will make it up to you, later,” I smirked.
“Fine!” He groaned.
I laughed, walking away and joined everyone else. Ryker did come to join us only a few minutes later, pouting at me. I rolled my eyes and laughed. I patted the spot next to me. He came over, taking it, and then patted his lap. I moved to sit on his lap, trying to ignore his slight excitement pressing against me.
“We need champagne,” Toni said.
James and Perri headed off to grab a bottle from the bar.
“So are you two moving in together when we get back?” Maddie asked.
“Yes, Alena is going to move in with me, or we will find a new place for us,” He said.
“Who knew the day Alena started, she would be the one to tame the wild Rockstar,” Maddie giggled.
“Yes, miracles can happen,” I smirked, “Especially since when I first met him, I wanted to punch him,” I added.
“I would have wanted to punch me too,” Ryker laughed, “I was an asshole,” He added.
I turned to kiss him softly.
“That was then, all that matters is now,” I smiled.
“Yes,” He replied, “I thank myself lucky every day that you came along when you did baby girl, or God only knows where I would be and what state I would be in,” He added.
“I love you, Ryker King, so much,” I cooed between kisses.
“I love you too, beautiful,” He said.
I rested my head to him, and he kissed the top of my head.
“We have champagne,” Perri said, arriving back.
They had two big bottles to share between us all.
“I am going to be ill tomorrow,” I said.
“Join the club,” Maddie giggled, “But it is all in the name of celebration so we can deal with it,” She added.
We all nodded in agreement with her. Everyone got a glass, and we toasted for what felt like the tenth time tonight. That was alright, though.
“While we are celebrating, would you two me my bridesmaids? Jana will be my chief bridesmaid because she is my best friend,” I said.
“Oh my God, yes,” they both squealed in excitement.
I have become very close to them while being on tour. They have become two of my closest friends over the months.
“Yay!” I said, jumping off Ryker’s lap to hug them both.
They happily hugged back.
“And don’t worry, I will not make you wear ugly dresses,” I laughed.
“Hey, it is your day, you want to put us in ugly dresses, you do so,” Perri said.
“I wouldn’t be that cruel,” I said.
“Thank God,” Maddie said.
I couldn’t do that to anyone, make them wear ugly dresses. I will make sure they are beautiful dresses, and I will let the three of them help me pick them. I am sure Perri and Maddie will get on excellent with Jana, we are all alike.
“Then sorted, once the door is done we can talk in more detail about it, and look at some dresses,” I said.
I could tell they were both excited. I smiled widely, taking my place back on Ryker’s lap. He slipped his arm around me, kissing my cheek.
“I love how you are already planning our wedding, unofficially,” He smiled.
“I can’t wait to start planning, officially,” I smiled, kissing him.
There was a lot to do, but I don’t want or need anything big and fancy as I said. Beautiful and straightforward will be perfect. I couldn’t wait to marry him finally.
“Me too, though you will need to keep me on track, I am not the best planner in the world,” He said.
“We will get through it together,” I snickered.
“Yes, yes we will,” He said.
It would be interesting for sure, but we will be just fine as long as we get on the same page.
