As Bryce sipped his coffee, hoping the caffeine gave him the energy to get through the rest of the day, he stared at the four hundred unread emails in his inbox. He wouldn’t be able to open them all in the next fifteen minutes, but he hoped to find one reply among them.
He skimmed the list of senders and saw the notification from the name he was looking for...

That didn’t take long.
His suspicions remained on high alert, but he was curious to read what she had to say. Which would it be? A polite brush-off or a straight-to-the-point-please-don’t-contact-me-again? He opened the message.
