Chapter 7When he returned to the car, Dane was still sitting buckled in, messing around on his phone. Ned was in Sean’s seat, using the drop-down mirror as he cycled through different tie patterns. They both looked too normal for the way Ned had left, abruptly in the middle of Adonia’s instructions. Sean had assumed Dane was trying something. Well, if he had, hopefully Ned talked him out of it. Chip might know. Sean opened the door. “Where’s Chip?” he asked.
