Chapter 14“What the actual f**k,” said Dane. He was pissed, he knew it came through in his voice, and he tried to dial it back, but this was a problem. He crossed to Winter, grabbed the mug from her hands, and stood in front of her like he could actually do anything about what she saw. “You know you’re not supposed to come down here.”
“Yeah, but I thought an old couch and maybe some booze,” said Winter. “Or drugs. You know. Not this.”
“Drugs. Great,” said Sean. He crossed and took the mug from Dane. “She really thinks a lot of you.”
“Oh, shut up, professor.” Dane didn’t need Sean distracting him from the problem of how to deal with Winter. “You know it means she thinks you’re down here with me, shooting up all the time.”
“So what, you come here and clean these instead?” asked Winter. S
